Some do, some don't.

For instance, the Worcestershire doesn't because neither side that played is worthy of playing in a First Class Game.

Can't honestly say about that particular team, but alot of the Uni's field county pro's as alot of the new youth players are still finishing their studies at uni, until they join up with their counties in may/june time.

Last season Durham UCCE fielded two Kent players that I recall, Alex Louden who hit 140 odd and Matthew Banes who ended up with a couple of solid scores if I remember correctly.

Jimmy Adams is a talented young opener who plays for Hampshire and also Loughborough, has hit many good scores in the pre-season friendlies.

And going way back many players in the game today have come through Uni's as well... M.Atherton, Ed Smith, N.Hussian all at one point or another represented Cambridge Uni... and countless I could never remember ;)

Shut it Hingston. Actually, that must be the reason why we haven't got UCCE status. Punishment.

The only FC player in the current ranks is Arul Suppiah (Somerset), but several of the rest of the First XI have played for Minor Counties or County Board XIs.

Fir point, Neil. He (Dawson) was worse than most of the other players anyone has ever produced. They probably assume that every other of your players are as bad.

Unfortunatly chris, dedication and commitment have very little bearing on whether a player is in the end any good or not....
Marc would probably run through a brick wall for a pint...

Northants made a good start, but have let Lancs come back into it :( Hopefully Brown and Swann can rip through the Lancs middle order.

Well Kent made a steady start in the overs avalible in Bristol, reducing the home side to 140/5 - But Oh My God, how can anyone bowl so many Extras!!!! We don't have to feel sorry for them Lads :eek:
