Looking solely at the Bears:

Bell
Wagh
Troughton

Does any county have a better all-English middle order?
Kent's middle isn't bad and Surrey's is pretty hot to, As for the predictions we all know what those Warwickshire players can do maybe Wagh not so much... my Warwickshire player to watch is J Trott

Essex in good nick - particularly Jeffo - retired absent for 144, in our total of 292-5 declared. Cambridge UCCE are 19-2 at the close, McCoubrey claiming both of the wickets to fall.

Bradford/Leeds need their UCCE status removed.

It's an utter farce with that sort of line-up. There are very good reasons why they aren't in the BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) Premier League, and Exeter are. It's a joke.

Eyes not spreadsheets
Read the expert CW report for a round-up of all 6 games.

Incidentally, I remember the Essex bowler with 6 in the game joined CG - wonder if we could get him over here?

OK: The last four in the BUSA Cricket competition for the last three years have always been Durham, Loughborough, Cambridge and Exeter.

We're in the Premier League and are comfortably established there playing the other five UCCEs on a regular basis (http://www.busaresults.org.uk/league.asp?leagueid=5651). We have eight players who have played either Minor Counties, County Board XI (C&G) or First Class.

Bradford/Leeds are in the Northern Premier (http://www.busaresults.org.uk/league.asp?leagueid=5653) playing Durham II, Loughborough II, Leeds II, Liverpool and Nottingham.

The evidence does kind of point to one thing.

For Worcestershire we have 3 youngsters who could make an impact. kadeer ali (probably had his chance last season and didnt take it, was crap for the acadamy but who knows he might have a good season).
Shaftab Khalid - promising spinner in the mould of shaqlain, bit expensive due to his radar been about as effective as the US armies, but probably spins the ball more than any other english finger spinner and also has the wrong un.
Steven Davies - Only 17, was one of the stars of the england U19 semi final team. Might not get much of a chance till next season but he's also a keeper so look out for him next season once Rhodes finally retires.

I maybe mistaken but havent Bradford/Leeds fielded players in the last couple of years who now play first class cricket (Vic Craven being one I think)
