Looking at you squad they is no quality now without Di Venuto and Cork gone

Chris Rogers is a more than useful replacement for Di Venuto - may even score more heavily than Di venuto would have...

Could be you are right. Typical Derbyshire. Sign another player just an hour after me bemoaning the weakness of the side.

Chris Rogers to fall off Ayers Rock or get eaten by dingos in 5....4....3....

well if any of your youngsters are good enough to make the NSW lineup for next season im sure they would be welcome to come out for some experience out here :)
Any of our youngsters good enough to get into the "2nd best side in the world after the Baggy Greens" would be playing for our International side.

hehe probably true, though with NSW losing the Waughs and Slater - as well as Katich and Clarke more to international cricket... one might get in if england weren't touring.

Worcestershire Country Criucket Club have finished Buliding a new Stand. The Stand in question is going to be named after Basil D'Oilvera who was one of Worcesters Greatest ever players. Graeme Hick will Open the Stand on the 4th May, Before the National league game against Northants
Surely Worcestshire's run glutton Graeme Hick deserves one.

Didnt Glen Turner play for Worcester or was that Warwickshire?

Because Turner was a fine player for them.

*Eddie to come and mention something about john Wright*

Hick is bound to get something named after him but these things usually happen after a player retires.
Glenn Turner did play for Worcs and damn fine he was too.

Went past the ground a couple of weeks back and only the shell of the stand was up...no seats. It looks OK and doesn't seem to spoil the beauty of the ground.

Hmmmmm.

I remember you chipping in that the Edgbaston test v SA last year was going to be washed out all 5 days - did that come from Metcheck too?

I reckon that if it was pouring with rain and Metcheck forecast rain, they'd still only have a 50:50 chance of getting it right.

I'm sticking with my knee and the seaweed and pine cones - excellent summer again this year.
Hope that you right Mate

Just read that the England and Kent WK G.Jones did some pre West Indies training with Newcastle United, with the Goalkeepers up there... apprantly Shy Given then told his Ireland team-mates how impressed he was with Jonesy that the Charlton goalkeeper went and told his club and they have asked him to be cover for their goalkeepers during the winter months. (unfortuantly he will have to decline all the time as he will be the England number 1 WK soon ;) )
