Buttler toss decisions always leave a lot to be desired.
You'd have thought after their decision to field in the hot sun in 2023 didn't go well. They'd avoid doing that this time.
But I suppose batting first twice this time failed. So why not mix up how your going to get beat.

Well batting first didn't work out too well for England in the first 2 ODIs, they may as well try to mix it up by batting second.
This isn't over yet either, Brook is smoking some sixes.

Doesn't seem to matter, we produce the same innings batting first or second. Score some quick runs in the powerplay, openers get out to stupid shots, get tied down by spinners, lose wickets, get bowled out before end of innings etc etc

I feel like the last 3 overs summed it up. Buttler gets out to first ball of Harshit's new spell, then Livingstone faces 15 of the next 16 balls by having mindless slogs that he either misses or go nowhere. Brook has no strike for this period and then ends up defending a ball somehow back onto his stumps. It's just completely lacking in any kind of cricketing common sense.
India are a good team, and I could easily see them winning the CT in a canter, but England aren't exactly giving themselves the best chance to beat them.
I can't decide if they cannot give a ****, or if they're just utterly stupid.
Shastri just revealed on air that they've only had one net session during this Tour. That surely cannot be true?
I've actually just read that the only person who turned up to the net was Root - hardly surprising really.

Certain players really not justifying their places - Salt and Livingstone should be gone. Brook should be on a warning. If there were any viable alternatives I'd be looking for a new captain (but there aren't really). Needs to be a clear out following the CT.

They should try golf? According to KP the England players spend more time on the golf course than practising in the nets apart from Root.
Can you imagine professional golf players spending time playing cricket in between golf tournaments?

To be fair, the golf playing is well known and has been discussed long before KP has mentioned it. I mean it has been discussed on here when test matches finish a long time before the 5th day.

england will hold 3 Ls in the champions trophy. 2015-2019 was a total abnormality with a freak batch of power hitters and an elite captain. order has been restored.
