He'd be the worst Australian fielder since um... I don't know. I don't remember any Australian fielders quite like Panesar. So you reckon Hauritz is better than Panesar?
I'm not a huge Panesar fan but he'd walk into the Australian team at the moment.
Not really. In the cricket he had played before the squad, he hadn't done anything of note really. And that was his first first-class cricket for a year. It was perfectly fair to see him in form before picking him. Especially given his discipline problems.I understand the team was picked prior to his mammoth innings, but even before that knock he had done enough to be in serious consideration for the side.
Shaun Tait's pretty damn terrible. Not quite as bad as Panesar, but there aren't many who are. He'd be the worst Australian fielder since um... I don't know. I don't remember any Australian fielders quite like Panesar.
Shaun Tait? He'd be the worst Australian fielder since um... I don't know. I don't remember any Australian fielders quite like Panesar.
There's a huge difference if you're playing any remotely decent side on anything but a road. That's not really saying much though is it. Not saying he shouldn't be in the side but outside a couple of great innings he is been really quite poor for the last year. In my opinion there is very little difference in terms of overall performance between Bell at 5 and Collingwod at 5. In fact in theory I would rather have Bell.
Is Tait really worse than 'Bambi on Ice'? I'll have to watch him more closely in the next match.Shaun Tait?
Doubt it because he'd be expected to pose a threat against good sides - which he simply doesn't beyond the occasional bunsen. So you reckon Hauritz is better than Panesar?
I'm not a huge Panesar fan but he'd walk into the Australian team at the moment.
No. He's definitely in the same league though. Is Tait really worse than 'Bambi on Ice'?
Never seems to be able to catch a ball and he has a non-existent arm.Is Tait really worse than 'Bambi on Ice'? I'll have to watch him more closely in the next match.
Yeah, like Hauritz does.Doubt it because he'd be expected to pose a threat against good sides
Australia are extremely keen on playing a spinner though. And Panesar is more likely to do well than any of Hauritz, Casson, White, Krezja, surely. Or at least not to be dominated as brutally.Doubt it because he'd be expected to pose a threat against good sides - which he simply doesn't beyond the occasional bunsen.
Well yea that's the thing most finger spinners don't. But Australia keep trying to find a finger spinner that has the dynamics of a wrist spinner.Yeah, like Hauritz does.
That's the thing - he can't.Cant see how he can land 3 balls in a row on the same length
Oops, foot-in-mouth.So you reckon Hauritz is better than Panesar?
I'm not a huge Panesar fan but he'd walk into the Australian team at the moment.
No idea.Any reason the outfield looks slow?
