*Official* England in West Indies

Pretty sure that Sky, with their money and infrastructure, would be providing the images. Which would then make them the host broadcaster.
Yeah pretty much. Every home series Sky braodcasts it. It's either them or TWI Sports or something like that?

Sky's a West Indian broadcaster?

No.
It's a Sky production crew using Sky equipment, so for all intents and purposes they are the host broadcaster. They just resell it to local WI broadcasters the same way they do cricket in England to overseas broadcasters.

So does this mean that they can name different teams or what?

Would be even more dumb picking Donkey Panesar again if it's like the practice pitches they've been on.

Ian Ward on Sky said TWI is the host broadcaster.

Anyway, due to restart on Sunday at the old ARG. Just hope a test worth pitch can be prepared in 2 days time.

Well the host broadcaster would be that from the host nation. However, if there isn't a host broadcaster, obviously Sky might be the principal one.

Don't really want to be drawn into a pedantic argument, but a host broadcaster hosts the broadcast. So it could be Sky, even though, as Brumby says, it doesn't appear to be.

Yeah, fresh start.
It'd be downright stupid if they made the same match be played on 2 grounds. And now absolute confirmation is through that this game will count as a cap to all involved, and it's an "abandoned".

Haha, so officially this is now a five-Test series. It'd be awesome if it wasn't so farcial.

Nor do I. Believe it or not, I rarely do.
but a host broadcaster hosts the broadcast.
They can only host it if they're native to the place the game's being staged though.

Host = :
a person who receives or entertains guests at home;
a person, place, company, or the like, that provides services, resources, etc., as for a convention or sporting event;
the landlord of an inn;

All stuff which suggests throwing open your own place and your own stuff to others.

Ah right it's TWI. They sell it to Sky and Sky sells it to the local stations. Or something to that effect it seems.

Is Trans World International actually a broadcasting company themselves, who have channels, or are they just the equivalent of a wholesaler?

Pretty sure they are a production company...they don't have channels but make the coverage to sell to channels. They're not just in cricket, believe they do/have done English Rugby internationals. Think they have the cameras and crew and employ the comms on a tour by tour basis. They would have their own camera crews and such.

Cook saying the wickets at ARG have plenty of bounce in them, bigging up Harmison saying he was looking really lively practicing on them...safe to say Jimmy might be fuming again if they play it there.
One of the commentators was saying they want the Test to last five days so will be flooding the pitch at the ARG and leaving it to bake in the sun before rolling the life out of it hoping for a flat one. I don't mind if Anderson misses the 3rd Test but want him in for Barbados and Trinidad.
