*Official* England in the West Indies 2024

He may well be the best we've still got (a bit like Anderson), but not sure that helps us going forward. I think he should be encouraged to meet up with a couple of distinct silhouettes as the outdoor sun is sucked into a horizonless neon-red darkness!!
Not sure Jos Buttler is quite as intimidating as Stokes, mind!

we have so many good wktkeeper batters in english CC, why do they select a test keeper who hasnt kept recently and
isnt making any runs?

I can't say that I've watched these JAMODIs JAMT20s but to have got 17 runs as a top score in each format over five collective innings is rather concerning as to his competence against good quality bowling, especially as he seems to have shown a weakness against the short ball, which he will get a few times fold in tests.

With Buttler back in the side, England's batting looks better. I know they won't put Curran at 3, but I wish they would :) I think that's where he'd be the best (3 or 4). The ODI series proved he's more than able up the order.

1. Buttler
2. Salt
3. Curran
4. Jacks
5. Livingstone
6. Bethell
7. Cox
8. Overton
9. Archer
10. Rashid
11. Topley

Meanwhile ours:-

Tanzid Tamim- 17.73
Soumya Sarker- 33.52
Najmul Shanto- 33.61
Towhid Hridoy- 35.79
Mushfiqur Rahim- 36.75
Mahmudullah- 35.44
Mehidy Miraz- 23.43
Rishad Hossain- 27.5
Taskin Ahmed- 7.75
Shoriful Islam- 7.00
Mustafizur Rahman- 7.76

There are some guys missing. But, the youngsters coming up in BD have solid batting averages (in the domestic circuit$

Alzarri about to get suspended.

Man left the field without informing the umpire.

embarassing.

I remember one time we had a pacer by the name of Daren Powell who ran halfway down the wicket to ‘deliver’ the ball. That’s was disgraceful
Yeah what's with that? Joseph 90% of the time seems uninterested in proceedings. Do you think that's just his general demeanour or is there something more there?

I don’t know why he’s like that. When he does interviews he seems like a very humble individual. I expected better from him since he’s a leader of sorts (vice captain). Fast bowlers from the island of Antigua are sometimes feisty, Sir Curtly. And Sir ViV was the master blaster.

Anyways, he disrespected everyone that was on the field yesterday. A captain sets the field for you and you don’t like it, suck it up. This is not village cricket.

It’s good to see the other guys trying to cool him down: Shepherd, Rutherford, King, and Hetmyer (who was his skipper in the West Indies under-19 team)

Bad behavior should be punished.

I've noticed that too. I remember during that thrilling Gabba Test win he didn't look that happy even when he took a late wicket. I don't think he even looked that elated (compared with the rest of the team especially) when they actually won the match.
