 Knew that was coming from someone. :p

TBH, it might have played a part - I might have rushed home to watch the highlights a bit more readily had Harmison not been doing so stupidly well. Made it that bit less interesting.

But Harmison didn't change my working patterns.

A bit of a soft dismissal for a very good partnership, hoping the tail can stick around long enough for a Sangas 100.

Amazing recovery by Sangakkara and prasanna...SL top order with Jayasuriya and dummies like Mubarak is like dominos - one falls and they all fall !!:@

I am glad this will be the last Test for Sanath.. I really struggle with SL Selectors who under pressure from the Sports Minister [who I suspect insists on picking guys like Mubarak and Maharoof to curry favour with some sections of SL political interests and some other powerful backers in the community...] keep picking dummies for the SL team...

I've always just assumed it was Aravinda but Sangakarra has certainly raised his stock in the last few years to make a serious arguement.
Always was Aravinda before the last couple of years but think Sangakkara will have an irresistable case pretty soon if not now.

Real shame that Jayasuriya now incites comments like this TBH... would probably have been so much better for him to have continued with his original retirement plans post-2005\06. Whether he was forced-out or not, he's only compromising his legacy as he's done nothing of note the last 2 years.

Yeh, I am inclined to agree with you, Fiery tbh.

The SL batting order has been brittle as of late, worse than usual after a period of improvement (though Hoggard did bowl, it seems, exceptionally well this morning).

Still Murali for me, he'll win you more tests than Sangakarra will. The fact that it's worthy of discussion shows the value of Sanga to SL nowadays tho.

Collingwood takes a ripper to get rid of Sangas for 92. It's almost given that Collingwood takes at least one blinder per match these days.

Murali run out ends Sri Lanka's innings all out for 188 in under 60 overs.

Poor effort by the Lankan's bar Sangakkara still England bowled & fielded very well.

Comedy running from the ten/jack combo.

Very effective mopping up of the tail by our (admittedly low) standards I'd say. &, cliche it may be, but catches do win matches. Takes like KP's & Colly's make so much difference.

That was what I'd call plumb. Ordinary stuff from Cook tho, it must be said. On the front foot way too early so was in position to counter the movement back into him.
