No excuse. I've never been up before about 9 (and usually not before 10) the last 2 years, managed 4:25 today. :w00t:

Trying to watch two test matches at oce, Kaneria bowling around the wicket in other one. Right & left arm spinners confusing me.

TBF doesn't take much to confuse me these days:)

Yeah, I would, but unfortunately my laptop is in my bedroom which is the room next-door to the sitting-room which is the room which has the Sky+ box in it, which means I have the choice of CW and one Test or two Tests and no CW.

No-brainer really. :p

Lazy bastard:laugh:

I'm proud of myself TBH, really struggled with Pakistan and India in 2005\06. First time I've done this early-morning lark since India in 2001\02, having managed it with Pakistan and Sri Lanka in 2000\01.

It's been all Sri Lanka since I woke up (about ten to seven).

Consensus amongst the commentators seems to be that Sanga was a bit lucky to be there still. Not out for me; ball still looked to be climbing when it hit him. Horrible leave tho.

Yay, someone spotted the underlying irony instantly...

CBA TBH, is too much effort. I have it wired-up in a complex way that needs loads of de-wiring and it's not worth moving it just so as I can flick the channel over for 20 seconds at the end of each over. Can follow it almost as easily on BBB sites. This game is by far my biggest priority.

50 for Pras - well played son. Love the way Ian Botham still calls him "young man" at 28.

Well done to Jayawardene for bringing up his 50. Also congrats to Chaminda Vaas for being selected in his 100 Test Match. Brilliant performer.

Thought it was pretty plumb myself TBH, no-one could have had any complaints if it'd been given out, MSP could justifiably be aggrieved that it wasn't, and if Sangakkara ends-up with a massive score England can justifiably be very aggrieved.

Doubly so given the catching so far's been excellent.

good comeback from prassana, from Hobart. when he started playing tests he couldnt reach double figures even against Ban or Zim now i can think of 3 or 4 good innings in his last 10 tests.

I manage the early morning ones fairly easily TBH. Got to go to work at 7 though:@. Found the Ashes tour difficult, in more ways than one, managed to watch all the days play in the 1st two tests then go to work knackerd.Couldn't handle the Perth one though with the later start & then ended up just watching highlighs of the last 2 tests also.

We need a West Indies tour sharpish 3pm-4pm starts & can catch most of the days play after work.

Great start for England. Lets hope when i wake up i find we pushed on and bowled them out for under 150. But knowing England they'll scrap to half decent 250 or so :@
Welllllllllllll...

Aside from that MSP should-have-been, there's been nothing since the ball stopped swinging conventionally - would hope for some reverse-swing soon. Strange that MSP's really ripped the odd one but has also had loads go straight on.

Makes me quite glad Hoggard cashed-in so brilliantly on the new-ball really. :)

Never plumb. Might have been out, but it wasn't out-out. I'm always happier for the doubt to go to the batsman. Even if it was technically the wrong decision, I think Dar made the right one for a standing umpire. I'm assuming there's no hawkeye for the series as well, as I haven't seen it used to check the shout yet.

Obviously I'd prefer Sangakarra to have been out too, tho.

West Indies was probably the series I watched less attentively than any since 1998 TBH, 'cos of the job I was working at at the time.

South Africa is the best, which I had the following winter.

Yeah, WACA games are a bastard. I can never do all-nighters at Brisbane, Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney either, though. Usually lose the will to live by about 3AM. :p

Nah, no HawkEye.

I think there was significantly little doubt for it to have been clearly out myself TBH, though obviously not an absolute howler like the one that pitches on off, swings back straight, hits the pad low and was undoubtedly knocking all three down and is given n\o.

I won't over-criticise the Umpire, but that was definately a let-off for Sangakkara and MSP should have had a wicket.
