Read should be given the gloves in the one day games. His batting is more than good enough to open or bat at 7 if needed. Fair enough Jones has the gloves in tests as his technique does seem better in the longer form.
Cant blame this on Jones though. We just lost our way trying to chase such a high score.

And Giles did what wrong exactly? In fact, when was the last time Giles had a bad game?

Our performance fell apart from the moment Trescothick came on, and Kabir's dirge at the end didn't help. If Bell isn't going to bowl then Solanki's a better selection for balance purposes so long as he plays in the decisive manner he did at PE.

I find it laughable that you accuse Marc of county bias and then exhibit exactly the same thing in so many of your posts,

I think Bell should be in the test team and Giles is bowling well at test level

Solanki gets 50+ and marc never mensions it shows that he has an "Anti" felling toward Worcestershire

When players of a similar quality such as Michael Lumb, Keith Dutch and Chris Tremlett are denied the chance to play for England, why should your Worcestershire trio be put forward?

On what basis? Everyone raving about how brilliant they are? Hardly.. When they play well it seems on here it is usually as a result of England being lame.. Id say they are rated correctly though

I bet Kemp looked classy tho playing for Worcestershire, in the same way that Taibu looks classy playing for Zimbabwe.

Kemp's batting seems good to me, it's the bowling that's just rubbish basically.

"If England played better we would have won." No kidding! South Africa didn't let you play better. That's cricket. The opposition prevent England from playing to their potential by bowling well, fielding well and batting well.
