well why whine over it? Pakistan are ranked at the very bottom of icc test ranking, its natural for the English players to expect a 3-0 whitewash against such a weak team
And who actually is whinning here ? When was the last time Pakistan were thrashed 3-0 @ home ? I dont know how you can be so ****y in telling that Pakistan are a weak team when this same team beat India in ODI series and drew the series in India without their star bowler.

If they can expect a 3-0 whitewash in Pakistan then i recon they can expect a cleansweep in India aswell and that too in both Tests nd ODI's coz the last time i checked Pakistan were a better team then India when they last clashed.

An uderprepared turner at Multan then a road at Faislabad followed by a typical lahore test match track which is dry and helps spinners and reverse swingers would be Pakistan's strategy.

Yep welcome Xuhaib. Try to ignore the minority Indian poster trolls (and the Pakistani ones too). Its best to avoid the Ind vs. Pak verbal wars that sometimes erupt on this board. They're boring and useless :P

Thanks Jono and Pratyush for welcoming me :p. Yea i will definitley try to avoid India and Pakistani verbal wars. I really hate these sort of arguments. I am a cricket fan and i want to see all teams performing at the highest quality be it India Pakistan or any other nation so that we can proudly say that are gr8 game "cricket" is one the most competitive sport in the world.

Hi Xuhaib. :) Always glad to have more Pakistan fans around.

So I got the tickets for the first test today. Only problem now is to decide the day on which to go.

Welcome on board Xuhaib!

On Collinwood subject, i believe i read on a newspaper Collinwood saying that England will win 3-0.However if i happen to be wrong on it and if he only said that "England would try to win 3-0" then i would like to say that there is nothing objectable about it.Every team, especially top teams, try to win each and every match they happen to play.England happen to be a top team whose aim is to displace Australia as the number one team of the world, and for that they will have to play aggressive and positive cricket in all the test series that they are going to play.

Hey, why don't you go on the very first day?

Don't wait till the fifth day, as somehow i've a feeling that the match won't last for 5 days (as England aren't in good batting form and Pak batting remains fragile)

So there are no topics to talk about except a Collingwood comment?

Discussing team line ups and Inzamam's running between the wicket are out of fashion I guess.

LOL!

I'm actually keen to know as to what kind of wicket is prepared for the first test match. Is it going to assist the spinners or is it going to be seam friendly? Bob and Inzi , in their interviews, have given mixed messages, which makes it impossible to figure out as to what exactly are they upto?

You guys(india) are bottom of the ODI rankings but you seem to be doing ok against Sri Lanka at home?

I'll probably end up going on the first or second day, seeing as they both are holidays.

Mate, can u just mention 1 or 2 threads where Pakistanis have ever started a flame bait or posted any ant-indian comment before an indian posting abusive things abou Pakistan ?There r hardly 3 or 4 Pakstani members on CW forum & none of them r flame baiters.U can neither blame me nor any other Pakistani member resposible for starting a flame bait. Its nehrafan,vandemataram,GO_India & sheerindianspeed who r always responsible for starting flame baits on CW forum.

If u think that any pakistani has ever tried to bait indians, just mention the posts/threads.
We r neither taught to hate india nor we post any comments which may hurt the feeling indian members unless indians themselves start flame bait.

Welcome to the forum,Xohaib .Don't get heated up on his comments because most of the indian members on CW forum r very nice & co-operative but u'll have to ignore idiots like nehrafan,vandemataram,GO_India & sheerindianspeed.

Please stop ranting about it then and just ignore them and rise above it.

If you react to the bait then you are just as stupid as the people putting it out there because you are joining in a flame war then. And please refrain from abusing forum members, even ones who we all know you love really. :p

Yes I have been thinking about the same thing. Will England go for spinning tracks or seamer friendly tracks? Bowling on seamer friendly wickets is different in England compared to Pakistan. In England the conditions support you while in Pakistan you have to rely much more on the actual wicker and your ability to extract swing despite conditions not being conducive exactly.

The England pacers are not incapable of bowling in less seamer friendly conditions when they toured the West Indies.

But it has to be kept in mind that Pakistan are likely to go in with Kaneria and Mushtaq. Would they prefer a spinning low bounce track or one with more purchase off the wicket? Kaneria for one would prefer some extra bounce.

It is not necessary that the wickets will be flat tracks.
