the same will hold good for india also when england visit them

Kaneria and Mustaq ahmed (is said to be recalled ) will be the two specialist spinner in the side, and either Afridi or Malik (more likely) will be the third one to assist the two leggies.

Kaneria, Afridi, Kumble, and Harby will bowl to him on their home wickets that naturally favour spin.

Do him a favour and leave him out.

Likewise with Jones and Giles.

They're simply sub-standard.

bell obviously isnt ready for test match cricket just yet(unless he learned a hell of a lot form the ashes series) and jones is just not good enough.
i'd like to see one of butcher or key back in the test side to be honest.

before the series he needed to score runs in the ashes to prove himself. after the series he needs to prove himself against everyone else
and as we all know afridi is such a proven performer in test match cricket. of course he hammered irfan pathan and co all over the park, give him a medal.

England managed to silent the best team in the world for 5 tests,i don't see how anyone could think that pakistan will get the better of them.

Unfortunately ppl accross ur borders aren't blessed with brains , i mean a team that happen to have been losing to side like SL and Zimb at home actually thinks that it can beat a strong team like England

But Pakistan will be facing the mighty Englaish pace attack, and IF they make the blunder of making pacer friendly pitches, then i believe that the matches will end up in 3 days!
And i sick of seeing Pakistani team getting out twice in a day whenever they come accross quality opponent (remember series against Aus in Sharjah).I hope it doesn't happen again

Will Bell be in our line-up come the first test? With the probs Warne has caused him I can see Kaneria & even Afridi licking their lips. I thought he'd turned a corner after the 3rd test, but he's really failed to stand up & be counted since then.

I'm not adovcating not taking him on the trip, but there's certainly a potential opening for someone there.

im surprised that hes scored on the A tours to the subcontinent given how mediocre he is against spin bowling.

i agree with you completely.I believe that Rao is simply a world class bowler who would actually have made the great WI side in the 80's. Legends like Sachin & Gavaskar were lucky in the sense that they never had to face a phenomenon like Rao in test cricket otherwise they would have averaged only in 20's.

Rao is the new face of terror in test cricket....i shudder to think as to what will happen when Sehwag faces him.

Giles career average is nudging 40!

It's a sorry indictment on his quality that Michael Vaughan looks far more impressive every time he bowls.

There's probably somebody out there but off the top of my head I cant think of a worse regular spinner in world test cricket.l

kumble and harbhajan in tandem are far more likely to cause him problems on turners than warne did in this series AFAIC.

They are playing againts pakistan in pakistan if you english fans isnt aware of that,Beating pakistan in pakistan isnt as easy as you think so,Pakistan always had a upper hand when they have played england in both forms of the game,

Close series??? Tell me one thing, when Pakistan played the aussies last time, who kept on winning by nearly an INNINGS??? this is insane, i cant even think pakistan drawing a test. This is too much.

Listen up Mr. India, that Pak-Aus test match in Shj. was held a long time ago..so better to stick to the current form. u do remember recent Pak-India series..right?? Pak was just great in both form of the game...so i predict a good challenging test series btw Eng-Pak!
