Isn't that only really relevant when a side isn't bowled out though?
No, it is still relevant. If Inzamam had Shoaib and Rana on to take either Plunkett or Solanki before they were set, the target probably would've been more like 160.

Anyway, way to go, Pakistan. Put the Poms back in their place. With Afridi in now (hopefully for Kaneria), Pakistan should do even better.

With Afridi back in the side:

1: Salman Butt
2: Shahid Afridi
3: Younis Khan
4: Mohammad Yousuf
5: Inzamam-ul-haq
6: Shoaib Malik
7: Kamran Akmal
8: Abdur Razzaq
9: Rana Naved
10: Mohammad Sami
11: Shoaib Akhtar

Super-Sub: Danish/Asif???

This is one of the most strongest teams i have seen for some time of Pak. Afridi or Akmal can bat lower down.

Sub: Yasir Arafat

Kaneria is useless in ODIs, so he comes out for Afridi. Akmal has just scored a century opening the innings, so it would be foolish to displace him. He stays where he is. Afridi plays at 7 or whenever slogging is needed. Arafat replaces Arshad Khan as sub because Arshad is crap and Arafat can both bat and bowl, so he will be able to make an impact no matter what.

Whatever it takes!!!
Congrats to Pak on a good win. And it is great to see Shoaib back in full form and commitment. And I think things will get worse for England now... Flintoff seems to be gassed out, Pieterson is injured or so I heard and the others aren't all that great.. And with Afridi back, I think England will do well to even a win a match from here. I hope they do well, for the sake of cricket, but I think it will be very very tough.

Is Plunkett really an all-rounder like i heard or it did he just bat well for a bowler?
He's a bowler who bats a bit. I hope the English batsmen turn up in some of the remaining games so Anderson can get some more overs under his belt.

watching Blackwell bat against Shoaib was funnier than wtaching Shabbir Ahmed against Flintoff.

What happend between blackwell and shoaib?......i was at skool so i havent seen any cricket yet!
a lot in a short space of time.

first ball is a slower full one that Blackwell hits for 2.

next he edges a bouncer that should have been caught but it was a no ball anyway.

he then tries to pull a ball around his neck which ends up a foot away from Butt at cover who should have caught it but didn't.

last ball of the over,he flais madly at a bouncer outside off a hits it over Shoiab's head for 4.

next over v Shoaib, first ball he's bowled playing miles away from a straight one.

he was completley out of his depth.

I must say, that looks like a very powerful side on paper. (as most Pakistan sides do)

How many english batsmen were out by a slower ball today........
Far too many, it seems England's batsmen have to be suckered repeatedly before they finally do some homework. In the Ashes bar KP none of the batsmen had a clue what Warne was bowling til the later Tests. Now the batsmen are rendered hapless repeatedly by a slower ball.

I’ve seen him bat a few times and he could hold a bat, pretty decent, same as Udal and Giles I would say. His no all-rounder though just showed what a good batting pitch it was.

Yeah very, Afridi will be very valuable in the next game, not just with the bat but his Chris Gayle like 75mph yorker will cause a few problems for us.

And hence they would've been bowled out, so the over rate wouldn't have been an issue, so it was irrelevant.

I hope he bowls better than he did today, unless he's going to become a batsman who bowls.
