I cannot believe they super-subbed Solanki for Anderson, hence making him bat at 10. A bit late I reckon. When they super-subbed Jones off for Solanki against Aus earlier in the year at least there was some sense in that (although Gough would have been the better choice), but with already 8 wickets down?

Plus, imagine if Solanki got a golden or something. Talk about pressure to score
well solanki seems to be a revelation in this role

Damn u plunket...go back to downing street.

Fantastic effort from Plunkers there, but a pretty poor display from England all-round in the face of some awesome stuff from Shoaib. Still, there is a target to bowl at - but we're a bowler light.

Bowler or two! By my count you have two frontlines, one all-rounder and a part-timer...

Harmison, Plunkett, Flintoff (front-liners), Blackwell (all-rounder), Collingwood (part-timer). We're one short by my reckoning.

EDIT: Yeah, Freddie's kinda hard to miss........ :p But the pressure's on Colly, no doubt.

Lloyd keeps going on about how England took 6/23 in the last match, but what he seems to forget is that those wickets were all thrown away by Pakistan when they were trying to score at 10 an over.

Yeah, he played some brilliantly timed strokes in the covers. He now has two ODI centuries and not a single fifty.

Plunkett getting the full treatment. I don't think there'll be too many pats exchanged in the english dressing room tonight.

Very poor performance from England. Once again the top order batsmen are responsible for another defeat. Well done Pakistan, very professionally executed victory with some outstanding individual efforts - Shoaib and Akmal were excellent.

I still think that the total could have been comfortably less if Inzamam had not been so hell-bent on bowling his spinners. They did talk about being behind on the over-rated though so perhaps that might have been an issue in his mind.
Isn't that only really relevant when a side isn't bowled out though?
