I've gotta get me some highlights of yesterday's play and today's. This stuff sounds insane. :)
A few years ago, there would have been 'International Incidents' coming out of half of these little 'problems' - fat captain fingers jabbed into fat umpire guts, that sort of thing. Hopefully we're beyond such hysterical reactions now, but I've got my doubts.

Pedro Delgado

International Debutant
He did a shuffle on a good length at one end, looked like he was having a boogie, then he ran down the wicket and turned his arm over.

As the players were all looking at what had exploded on the boundary he got into the middle of the pitch just about a good length and did a full pirouette (360) with his spikes to create nice little patch of rough for him and Danish... Unlucky for him but Darrell Hare saw it and so did the england team, KP was letting him know just what they thought as he walked off...

Wow that's just horrible sportsmanship.
From what I gather, Afridi should be banned over Bell, seeing as how Bell's 'catch' may or may not have been deliberate, but Afridi's definetely was.

Bad light? Maybe people who live in Pakistan can tell us why that light is dangerous. In the Uk that sort of light would have the government issueing drought warnings. :D

I reckon it's all quits now. Both teams should just forget it and get back to playing cricket.

What sort of punishment does that sort of thing (pitch damaging) get, btw?
Well, George Davis spent a few more years in prison - then they let him out before they found out he really was a crook and banged him up again.

What a ridiculously crazy day of cricket.

We had Inzy's run out, the explosion and Afridi's pitch antics all in one. Add Bell's catch yesterday and it's quite the test match. Add the 3rd umpire run out mistake of Butt back in the first test, and its quite the test series.

KP having a go at Afridi over what he did with the pitch was hilarious, although KP was obviously not mocking but rather just angry. I wonder how they got along during the Super Series?
For the last time, it wasn't a bloody mistake. It was a perfectly sound decision, well within the Laws.

I loved Afridi's twirling around on the middle of the pitch. He's a real character, and should be commended on his complete insanity. It will be unfortunate if he is banned, because that was a great effort.

Anyone noticed the ammount of 'bottom edges' that have accounted for so many batsmen?

Playing excessive cross-bat shorts on this pitch is clear folly and yet the Pakistani and Englishmen continued going after the short-pitch/good length stuff without a worry in the world.
