That does seem more or less like a prediction to me. Maybe not so clear, but obviously, if he's talking about winning it 3-0( and if he was asked to predict the outcome of the series, he would have said 3-0 for England). And they're not playing Bangladesh, atleast he should have known a draw is possible in this case.

I had a few procedural questions related to this with some of the decision-making in the Super Series, but to my knowledge, those questions were never answered. Hopefully there'll be some clarification on this from the ICC. Sambit Bal just wrote an article at cricinfo (in his usual hysterical style of course) in which he asked similar questions.

I didn't read the article as particularly offensive - fairly 'matter of fact' for him.

Mind you, he had a dig at Botham, so he should get extra bonus points for that.

That is journalistic interpretation of what he said. The exact words were ""We're looking at things to achieve and going to Pakistan and India we want to win these series.

"Whether we win them 2-1, 1-0 we're going to be happy to win the series but I certainly think our main goal in Pakistan will be to win 3-0."

Clearly, clearly not a prediction.
