When it comes to Pakistan i wouldnt take anything an Indian fan said seriously, and Vice Versa :) They seem more interested in saying the most outlandish thing possible just to get a reaction than talk actual sense.
Don't generalise! There are a lot of us who aren't idiots...

the side was definetly crying out for someone like Thorpe or even Butcher. England may have a pretty good record chasing recently, but when you consider how many of those were done because Thorpe held the innings together, then you realise that England were always struggling batting last on this wicket which made it even more imperative for them not to have screwed up in the first inning. i honestly dont think Vaughan will be much of an improvement(although anyone would be an improvement to Collingwood), but geraint is a real liability and id rather prior with his experience in the subcontinent instead of him.
thats the thing with the current England middle-order its got the talent & some potentially god backup depth but their are inexperienced, thus at this stage ts still a bit wably at times & has no real stability. Its really disappointing that Thorpe was dropped has you said England need someone like him in the middle-order if they want to win in Pakistan & India next year IMO.

With reference to Jones i agree, but he wont be dropped

Its amazing to see a team dominating a game for 4 days losing to a team that dominated the game for just one day, or maybe even one session!!!

I guess that why it is said that nothing is certain in cricket!!

Why? Because only asians(Pakistanis in particular) can be chuckers?
Actually, they were changed when it was discovered that nearly everyone chucked. Nothing to do with Pakistanis. Give it up.

My Pak line up for next match (if Yousuf Plays)

Afridi
Butt
Younis
Inzi
Yousuf
Asim Kamal
Akmal
Sami
Akhtar
Shabbir
Danish

In case Yousuf doesn't play, then Pak need to go in with an additional batter, therefore

Malik
Butt
Younis
Inzi
Asim
Hasan/ any other batsman?
Afridi
Akmal
Akhtar
Shabbir
Danish

There is a news that Yousuf is injured and won't play the second test match, on the other hand Vaughan seems to have recovered from his illness.
I think they r rumours only,GIB.We'll have to wait & see till the official announcements.

If Poms fail to beat Pakistan and India in the test series, then they might as well forget the dream about becomming the number one team of the world!

And seeing as the majority of people who predicted 3-0 were Indian fans - and the more vociferous ones at that, I guess we can see the logic.

Only some.

The ones who flit in and out like a "Will o' the Wisp" purely because one or the other of the subcontinent teams have played are the ones termed the "Terrace element", eager to throw their toilet rolls at opposition supporters.

It adds a bit of spice, but can get tedious.
