Who's doing the 4am shift then? I've got the bacon, eggs and muffins ready.
Got the keys to my mate's house and he says I can go round his while everyone's still in bed and watch it. :D

Not sure if I'm going 4am though, will probably stick to the 7am and catch the afternoon session if possible.

Anyone know who the token Pakistan commentator is for Sky?

I pray its not Waqar "seasonal shot" Younis.

i wud rate pakistan to win 1-0 or 2-0. reasons are obvious, they are at home + better confidence
You're right.

England only took Australia's scalp this summer. The last time Pakistan did so much as draw a game with them was 10 tests ago, in 1998 or so.

Really obvious as to why they should have greater confidence.

Shoaib was incredibly unfit in Aus just weeks ago - basically buggered after 2 overs.
I appreciate that.

The point I was making (badly) was that Shoaib has alluded to wanting to 'put the past behind him' and to stop being a bonehead, hence the 'born again' bit.

Personally, I'll believe it when I see it, but the man can be box-office and a match-winner.

What are we going to see tomorrow? The Rawalpindi Express or the Pindi Bhaji? It's anyone's guess.

Getting very excited. Hope England bat first... and calm their nerves... whilst posting 350+

yes so atypical indeed that giles has outbowled warne in India.
Giles has played exactly 2 tests in India and hardly set the world alight in those.

I could launch into some meaningless dialogue about how he took wickets by bowling 1 - 2 feet outside leg-stump because he had run out of ideas. But what's the point?

Anyway, I'll leave you with this: Michael Clarke has a better record than Ash in India :p

Well if he took wickets by doing that, his tactics clearly worked...

If Michael Clarke was English, I'd pick him on his bowling. His batting, however, sucks. :p

True.

Pakistani attack, depending on which Shoaib turns up, could be really useful.

Naved looks potentially a very good bowler.

Afridi has really improved.

Sami is now close to being dangerously underrated.

However, if anything, Kaneria is becoming overrated. He's good but not near Warne's class.

Should be a very good series.

Anyway, Im off to catch a bit of shut-eye before the start as my 11 day old son doesnt keep respectable hours yet.
