Sweet revengeAtkinson and Woakes have both now dropped Masood off each others bowling.
Woakes' chance was harder.Heard both catches were tough, but you've got to take one of them on this pitch. And I think we need wickets now while they're frazzled.
Yeah can't let them settleHeard both catches were tough, but you've got to take one of them on this pitch. And I think we need wickets now while they're frazzled.
I was an opener too.As clear an example of mental collapse as you’ll see. As an opener I really feel for the guy.
Yep, needed to take one of those and Atkinson's was probably the easiest. But no doubt still fuming at Woakes dropping one off his bowling...Heard both catches were tough, but you've got to take one of them on this pitch. And I think we need wickets now while they're frazzled.
It's even better that it was bowled.I was an opener too.
One of the tough things about being an opener is when you are out in the field for a day or two and then you have to bat straight away with no break.
The other batsmen get a chance to have a break and refresh before they bat, not for Masood in this case though.
There is the moral stress though. My brain refuses to accept that England only batted for 150 overs. I'm having thoughts like "well Pakistan's openers will be exhausted after an eternity in the field". Then I realise that it's only as long as England were out there in the first innings and it didn't seem to hold them back.
