*OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

State Captain
Apparently Root was the last guy to bat through a day, in Galle in 2021. The test match were Dom Bess took a cheap 5fer. His record in his last few tests in SL and India was reasonably OK but what a fall in form - he is only 27.

I checked that stat.

Unless I'm mistaken that really wasn't 'throughout the day' because they only bowled around 52 or so overs that day I think.

It's easier said than done on this pitch in the heat but it's a shame we let go towards the end of their innings. We would be able to give our bowlers a lot of time for a potential innings victory otherwise.

If Root now gets out he averages 50 in Pakistan.

He only had 125 runs at 25 before this knock.

After I said I couldn't see a 300 from anyone in cricket now. Be hilarious if he managed it tomorrow.

But imagine we will accelerate hard tomorrow and so be a difficult ask.

what a pathetic pitch and crowd.

don't even think India produce roads like this any more.

Lets hope for serious degradation days 4 and 5

Not going to help with the crowd is it
