Thoroughly agree with these, that said I'm still bringing Ferguson in for the second test and currently it's for Wagner. Sacrilege, I know.

Noone is a protected species, so rotate the four bowlers through the summer depending on conditions - e.g. Ferguson and Wagner will both play in Melbourne and one of Southee or Boult will sit out.
If our spinner is going to be Santner, then why not just play all four, and let Williamson role his arm over for ten overs per innings?

That’s one beautiful ground, wish I were there, have some old mate NZs moved to Cornwall, rugby nutters, work making excellent cider here, sell it in my shop. What a lovely place that is though, jealous!

****! Came down to watch at the Backbencher and get to see Southee denied a five wicket bag by woeful fielding.

Thank **** for that. And caught by the guy in the side who is the second most likely to drop one .

Southee going to be fuming if he doesn't get his fifth.

When your #10 partner is 14* (48) and looking comfortable, not sure why you turn down singles then try risky lofted shots.
