*Official* England in India

Yess!! We come good when it matters in the most important format outside of Test cricket. Revenge was indeed sweet!! Or am I over-enjoying this victory because a) We happen to be pretty good at it, and b) it's not as important as the series we just got whacked in but we can call this revenge to make us feel better. Mmh, all sounds a bit familiar to me.

Can the mods change the forum setting so 20 posts appear per page rather than 10. ? Following a simple conversation requires lot more clicks

Amazing how the format changes and the teams reverse roles with England becoming awesome and India ****.

Oh well being ranked number 1 in 2 out of 3 formats isn't bad i guess even if one of them is a bit of a pointless exercise.

Personally don't think the Indian players cared too much about this game. The fielding was average, the batsmen looked like they didn't want to be there. I guess maybe it's because we put ODIs so much above T20.
There's a simple pride in performance that is missing with what went on throughout this series, though.

You look at England, and one of the reasons that they got to number 1 in Test cricket was because they were used to winning, and a lot of that was developed in T20. Winning becomes a habit, and you want to bring young players into that environment - they can avoid some scrutiny when they fail a few times early in their career while the team is winning. Instead, you have people raising eyebrows at things like Yusuf's performance tonight.

You can talk all you want about "not caring", "indifference", but teams that are trying to set themselves to be the best in the world and a dominant force don't put in limp performances and have their tummy tickled over an entire series, such as what happened here, no matter the format.

Yeah, not like you pay the big money in your huge domestic T20 league or anything.
Its not about not caring really. India isnt that good at the format - none of our players except cowlashers like Saurabh Tiwary are suited for the format.

Players like Jadeja and Yusuf are primarily ODI players even though they were noticed in T20
Yep, Cribb's the only one who got it

And with that we take the England vs India in 2011 to a final score of 9-5 to England.

Also I've come to the conclusion that Bopara is a horrid batsman half the time but in T20s he's a better bowler than he is a batsman.

Also maybe ganeshran is having a joke about T20?

Congrats to Asani on what was a match winning performance on debut!

We won the revenge series 5-0 so I would take that any day over a loss in Twenty20 (Mickey mouse) Cricket.

There's little I find more amusing on this forum than people being format snobs and pumping up the importance of ODIs in the one post.
