I think the experiment with Dernbach should end. At least the guy has had a proper chance and been found wanting unlike so many bowlers over the years who get one or two matches and then get thrown on the scrapheap if they haven't done well. He can't say he wasn't given a decent run in the team and we have enough promising bowlers to be able to pick somebody else ahead of him.
We don't have very many promising one day bowlers to be honest. The reason we 'experimented' with Dernbach is because he is the best bowler at county level. Bresnan's held his place for 2 years despite being nothing more than ok because we've had no-one better. Hopefully Shazad gets back into form next season because he's been the only bowler who's looked like he might belong at international level.

I'm not an especial fan of his or anything, but he was comfortably the best List A bowler in England last summer so his selection at least had some justification. Leading List A wicket takers in 2011.
Interesting to see Bopara so high up on the list. He's got a really good List A bowling record as well.

Yeah, it's good to see that a bowler was given a fair chance with a lots of ODIs both home and away, before making the final judgement.

Is Chris Liddle any good?

Just watching the highlights on Sky. Love the crowd's reaction when Raina goes. From excited cheering to absolute silence in the time it took the ball to travel from Raina's bat to Bairstow's hands.

It's even worse during that drop catch where Raina collided into Tiwary iirc. Could almost hear the sighs reverberating around the ground :p
