Or the fact that there's really nothing in this wicket, and hasn't been except for the third morning after the rain!
Well may be, but please stop blaming the wicketkeeper for missing a catch, mistakes do happen, Cricinfo commentator wasn't even sure if it touched the bat .

Btw - You haven't said a word about Harmison's bowling, I wonder why.8-) 8-)

India bowled on there too, but it was poor bowling when they were bowling but its the pitch now? Or?
No, it's been the pitch all the time - when batters have taken their time to settle in then no bowlers have looked like causing them any serious trouble - Collingwood in the first innings, then Jaffer and Dravid on the tail end of day two, then Kaif and significantly Kumble, then Alistair Cook, and now Dravid and Jaffer again.

Exactly - When Indian bowlers get tonked, they are basically rubbish, But when same thing happens to English bowlers (that too only in one session) they start crying about pitches.Same happens when Indian players score in India, then they get no credit because basically pitches are flat. But the moment English batsmen score some runs, it is because of their talent.

But it's not just one person, it must be 22 each day in just this one game.

So if none of them go to school, and they don't make it in Cricket (which lets face it is likely to happen for just about all of them) what do they then do when they're at school-leaving age?
Didn't get your first point.

On the school - there are major attendance problems for people who take cricket very seriously yes. They scrape through school or dont and struggle in life yes. An Indian test cricket discard once told me his biggest regret was not taking his education seriously for cricket.

Indians were playing strokes by the end of first session. Jaffer wasn't finding the gaps. They are playing strokes right now as well. It is near impossible but don't rule out India. :)

Jaffer looks so classy, his recent domestic form has really helped him a lot.

Now what happens to Gambhir ? as I feel jaffer will cement his place as an opener

Smart cricket by these batsmen, they are playing their shots so that hoggard doesnt get settled and work on his vicious reverse swing

Dean Jones: Now you know a lot about cricket balls, what do you reckon is wrong with this?
Botham: It is out of shape, can see it from here.
Dean Jones: Are you sure, it looks all right to me.
Botham: Spoken like a true batsman.

that was good bowling from Hoggard, exposing a HUGE weakness that i have seen in Sehwag almost all the time.
That must rank with Richard's comments about the way he predicted Hick's early Test weaknesses despite the fact that he didn't start watching Cricket until about 5 years into Hick's Test career.

....... someone says for the zillionth time in the last 18 months
Except bizarrely for the entire Pakistan tour (the only defeat in the last 18 months)

Is that a correlation I see.

Jones keeps well, we lose, Jones keeps like usual, we win...
