He should be utilized by Indian team as an allrounder (comming at seventh slot behind Dhoni) and first change bowler to SreeSanth and Munaf Patel.
You think so...? Really, you wanna enlighten the rest of us, why you think so?

Becasue sir, i think our team badly needs a fifth bowling option, and since both Dhoni and Pathan have been batting so well lately, there is no great need for the "sixth specialist batsman".I think instead of playing Kaif, India will be better off playing Munaf Patel.

It is a batting wicket atleast for the first 2 -3 days. So leave Irfan to perform in a way he likes (naturally coach and captain are more concerned and if the lack of pace was a problem , he would have been adviced to increase it). What about Vaas and Pollock bowl in the 120s ? are they poor bowlers?

If Kaif doesn't score a ton soon, he'll fall behind Raina. Kaif is a great fielder, but Raina is even better. Kaif is a decent accumulator of runs, but Raina is elegant and rated highly by Chappell. Sehwag..Sachin..Dravid..Yuvraj is rock-solid. The 5th should be Kaif or Raina. 6-7 Dhoni..Pathan. 8-Powar/Chawla/Munaf. 9-Harbhajan. 10-RP Singh/VR Singh. 11-Sreesanth.

Vaas and Pollock have lost pace as they have aged. Pathan is 21 years old and definitely capable of bowling consistently around 83-84 mph (I won't say anymore, that would be unrealistic). Yes, McGrath, Vaas and Pollock are all world-class bowlers without too much pace, but they do it consistently. Pathan is yet to add consistency to his repertoire, but he has the potential to do it. His fans should be a little worried about his loss of pace because he is India's strike bowler, but the team management would know where he's lacking and so would Pathan, soon enough they all should figure out how to fix his problem.

Santh has justified his selection and i'm very happy about it.

I think with the emergence of youngsters like Santh,RPS,Munaf,VRS etc, the fate of players of the likes of zaheer Khan and Nehra has been sealed!

oh stevey stevey, stevey stevey stevey Harmison.

3 successive 4's brings up the 300, glorious coverdrive, scratchy drive behind square and dismissive pull.

Even Bangladesh can do that..And no i dont think England will do that bad. They still have a very good team and I expect them to make 350 against this Indian attack.
Looks like my prediction is going to be right and I had more faith in England batting than the English themselves. :) :)

So far 76 runs in 21 overs with No.8 back in the dressing room. Session belongs to England. Great Batting by Collingwood and Harmison.

Feel Sorry for Panesar, in his first match he has to bowl to Sehwag, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman, Dhoni...I want him to do well though.
