Any of you English fans have any opinions on this Trescothick interview on Sky Sports right now?
None of us can see it. What's he said?

As for the England batting order, I'm glad it appears Bell might open - that top four looks more solid to me than the previous ones in this series. Bit harsh on Prior though, you're right Marc.

And Aussie - yeah, I do have no confidence. :(

Apparently Prior was due to open, but Strauss and Bell are now doing it because Prior is knackered. He vomited after a drinks break, apparently.

He talked about player burn out which was the main topic they talked about during the break. Basically why he left, and was questioned as to whether the people who believed he let England down by leaving the tour were justified etc. Interesting interview.

Anyway Munaf has hit 140+ in his first few deliveries which is good to see because in the test series it took him a long time to warm up.

Personally I think the way he's been treated by the England management is ridiculous. He's been our best batsman for at least three years now, and the only break they've given him was that tiny little four-match tour of Zimbabwe a while ago.

They always go on about being conscious of not overworking Flintoff, and being careful of Vaughan being injured, etc etc - it seems like everyone gets protection apart from Trescothick. Maybe it's just because Tresco is such a committed team man he never asks for a rest, I don't know, but he's been playing cricket for pretty much six years non-stop. Can't blame him for being shattered.

Anyway, I'm going to see him in pre-season for Somerset on Saturday, so I'm glad he's back. :)

Its good that India is trying all its pacers in these onedayers before the world cup.In the end India will settle for best 5 amongs the like of Munaf,VRV,Pathan, Ajit,Sreesanth,RPS and Z Khan.

Its just a shame they're not bowling well at the moment. Good start by England.

Anyway looking at India's batting line-up, No Sachin, Dravid, Laxman or Ganguly. Amazing. If you asked me 24 months ago if I'd ever see an Indian ODI batting line-up witout those 4 players in the near future I'd laugh. Good we're blooding players.

Yeah this is what we need, fast bowlers from India bowling over 140+... yet going at 6 an over and getting spanked around the park. 8-)

The day some Indian fans realise that, particularly in ODIs, that pace isn't everything, is the day they realise how valuable Pathan is as a bowler in ODI cricket. He's owned Strauss this ODI series with swing and accuracy at the start of the innings.

This obsession with pace is getting stupid by some fans. Don't get me wrong, I like that we are getting some young quick bowlers and that they are getting a game, and Sreesanth and Patel were brilliant in their test appearances, but by gee pace isn't everything.

Bracken, Pollock, Pathan and McGrath should make that obvious in ODIs.

Adharcric, you should consider changing your signature slightly, this would be more accurate IMO.

- Vikram Singh, Munaf Patel- Here comes the runs.

Ok, is everyone agreed that we should not re-call Hoggard for ODIs in future, no matter how well he does in tests?

Bell and Strauss doing really well here, but i can't help thiking that if India relaly cared about this match they would wipe the floor with us anyway, still, i'm hoping Bell can secure his place in the side because i think him playing one day cricket will help his test form.

England to win without losing a wicket?
No they will lose a few.

India didn't bowled all that well today, dissapointing performance not just from all the bowlers but from all the batsmen too with the exception of Dhoni and Powar

For sure, when Sajid Mahmood out bowls you, you know your time is up. Hoggard is just cannon fodder in the one day arena.
