Well in tests, Kumble should be the VC without doubt, no one else deserves it as much.
In ODIs, Kaif or Yuvraj.

Kumble should have been the captain after Tendulkar was sacked. He has been the sole consistant champion for India. Now though, it might be a bit late. He is already 35-36.

have to disagree there, ganguly was the best choice there.. he showed his skills as a captain.. he was wonderful..

The pitch is not of international standards.

Sometimes the ball hits the ground and stays low. The bounce is completly inconsistant. Everytime though, a piece of dust comes way off the pitch whenever a ball hits it.

200 is a very defendable score.

Yes, in hindsight he did. But on merit, Kumble should have gotten it. If I had to go and pick it again, it would be Ganguly (as I know the results now), but if I were voting back then, it would have to be for Kumble.

So, are the extras mainly due to the pitch and can we expect the Indian seamers to make a repeat of it or worse?

Well a lot of the extras are wide on the leg side, and it was the bowlers fault. I dont think too many were the pitches fault.

Due to work I'm unable to watch this match, but what happened to all the predictions of a high scoring affair? The pitch seems to obviously have gone against it.

I like low scoring matches like the previous 2, but apparently this pitch is different than those?

Yea, definatly low scoring. India doing well here, aside from Sehwag. 150-160 at the 40 over mark with 5-6 wickets left would be absolutely outstanding.

Extras will possibly come back to cost England in this match. If the pitch is as hard to bat on as you guys have said, then giving India so many free runs and extra balls is stupid.
