i missed it. why phenomenal?
He's got an average of 80+ in the 2nd innings, obviously thanks to his 100+ not out against Pakistan recently. I believe that was a not out.

Him or Irfan. I'd like them to send in Pathan. Meh if he falls early, Dravid's in anyway... or yay if he gets going.

Achtung Baby

School Boy/Girl Cricketer
107 runs scored today in 55 overs losing 3 wickets.
Indian bowlers have bowled well and may be if fieders had responded england might have been in a bit of trouble also.As of now England holds the upperhand.

Swervy

International Captain
If I were England I would bat for no more than 10/12 overs , try and get an additional 60 runs...lead of 320, and that would leave India 20 overs today

Pedro Delgado

International Debutant
Asi tattai malkai sogi.

Acceleration is a tricky wallah in this situation, Kumble bowlling well and trying to loft him from out of the rough around the wicket is so risky. However, the slog-fest must surely be upon us soon.

PY

International Coach
Reckon we'll see a change of attitude from Freddie after tea. Either he'll wallop the ball about or he'll smack it straight to a fielder.

Either way, fireworks will probably be forthcoming. :)

Beleg

International Regular
Okay, a run-rate of under two? Can someone who is watching the game tell me what is going on?

The good thing about Sehwag's injury is that he won't have to face Hoggard with the new ball. He should be able to handle the spinners and even the pacemen better with the old ball.
I don't mind so long as 'The Wall' opens and attracts a jaffer so he doesn't annoy me for the hour after hour.

How many let offs have Flintoff and Collingwood had by the way (I only just woke up)?

Three or four lives for Fred IIRC, none for Colly.

We may as well not have fielders, the bowlers can just do the catching! :D

First Kumble, and now Bhajji :)

Oh well Collingwood did his job, as he usually does, without needing 3-4 lives, watch and learn Bell. Quick 30-40 and declare.

Fly Harby fly!

Good breakthrough, hopefully Freddie can score some quick runs and we should be in for a thriller.
