The question is, if and when India get bowled out with more than 200 to go, do England enforce the follow on?

The problem with enforcing the follow on is that if India do well in the second innings...it will be very tough for England to bat, even if the target is a managable 120-150.
theres absolutely no point in enforcing the follow on, especially when the lead is probably only going to be a bit over 200(if that were to happen).

Just as I was typing that, there goes Yuvraj to a short pitched one. I wish I was watching on TV at least. :@
Yuvraj's dismissal was hardly 'working out the batsman' though. Far from it.

A little off topic, but the atmosphere in Mumbai is great. Yeah there was the poor behaviour of the booing of the players, but when you hear these loud chants at test cricket its nice to see. :)

its a good job Gojo didn't grass that, it was right down first slips throat. Great thatYuvraj is out, was worried by him, but can someone ask Dravid to make a mistake for once? Freddie bowling well

Hello, Indian supporters. No whining now.

Yuvraj taking lessons from Deadulkar on how to chase wide ones.

94/4 - In India. Versus a depleted English side.

VVS and Ganguly were dropped because they could not hold on to catches or play seamers well.

Been saying this for years - India currently only has one truly world-class Test batsman: Dravid. And maybe VVS - that's it. Kaif - if they allow him to develop.

Amazing...it's the superstars who lack application and you are critical of the crowd. Just amazing. Did you send them thank you cards when they collectively made these same guys into demi-Gods ?

These wonderful cricketers who don't even appeal for LBWs - match fixing, anyone ?

So the Mumbai crowd was booing Indian Cricketers yesterday - I wonder what our resident crowd expert aka SJS has to say. Let me guess, may be he wakes up only when Kolkata crowd makes some noise.

Just Tool, without a doubt you are one of the worst posters to ever grace this board. I guess when you were choosing a name, you decided to select one that best exemplified your true character.

VVS is no longer a world class batsman. I knew that wicket would bring certain people out of the woodwork.
Thank you for that clarification. I suppose Tendulkar, Sehwag and Yuvraj are....

they have crossed the three figure mark without any further loss but wouldn't this kind of constant pressure get to dravid one day? it seems he has to try to save india every other innings nowadays.....

You are welcome. And yes, they are. At least the first two are, Yuvraj has the potential to be. He is already better than Kaif, though.

I went to see the test today at Mumbai. Came back after England were 8 down since I did not enjoy watching from mid wicket.

Any one knws how best to post the pictures I took at the match.

James ???
Email them to me mate - james.nixon@cricketweb.net :)

If you could send them in high-resolution that would be great, don't worry about file-sizes.

This was booing a player who has very high expectations placed on him.

That was booing the national team, not to mention new captain Dravid, just because a local hero was deservedly not in the team.

And obviously that is justified..not to forget the fact that player is going through a leanest patch of his career and also that he was playing for his national team as well.

Obviously these are not your assumptions but cold hard facts.

Booing a player or a team is some thing I am never comfortable with.

In this instance a few of my friends who went to see the match in Mumbai didn't even hear the booings. It wasn't really in the proportion it was at Calcutta. Both are likely to be connected in stories in the media though who are looking for some thing to write.

Both are deplorable neverthless.

Yes it was.

The ground was full. The grass was lush green and it was great to see so many English fans. I have NEVER in all these years seen so many cricket fans from another country in a test match in India and they all seemed in great cheer. I hope they have a great time outside the match too.

Ouch, Dhoni hit right on the helmet by Freddy. Freddy let him know about it too.

It is amazing the wickets India are preparing this series. Second wicket in a row which had some bounce in it. Go back to the 90s, India used to never do this.
