Well, it's the man-in-form and the man-always-in-form batting currently. They have to go on for at least another 150-200 runs for us to have a chance. After them, its basically hit or miss (Dhoni, Pathan...and then the tail).

We better not lose this game, although if we win the ODI series comfortably (5-2), I will be happy. The WC is starting to come up, and each ODI becomes more and more important.

I thought about him, but he scored a 50 once, so he edges it on the usefulness scale.
Udal is a pretty good batsman, right? He'd be a candidate to make a few runs, even if he is an awful bowler.

Yeah it should have been a run of the mill leave. He didn't use any feet at all. Just hung the bat out. Shattered.

In the mean time, Yuvi thinks he's superman or something. Just playing hit shots from ball one.
Its time tendulkar takes a big break from test cricket and work on his deficiencies and mental confidence. If this keeps on going for too long :@ i see tendulkar getting dropped by the starting of next year for tests.

You see wrong. Although, I am hoping that he retires from tests and focuses on the ODI's. No point in spending all that time in the middle, focus on the ODI and the most important thing atm: the upcoming world cup.

Heh @ match odds on cricinfo (bet365)... they've got India 12/5, England 13/5... ridiculous. How the hell can India be favourites (ignoring the draw)?
Maybe Nehrafan is running it? ;)

I went to see the test today at Mumbai. Came back after England were 8 down since I did not enjoy watching from mid wicket.

Any one knws how best to post the pictures I took at the match.

I'm still waiting for this Tendulkar fellow to stage his "amazing comeback"

Noticed him getting out to Lancashire 2nd XI today..

What the hell is going on with Lara and Sachin? I grew up watching them being the best and the most talented batters around. Now both of them are getting out to the likes of Franklin and Anderson... Oh, what has this world come to? :( Time for them to bow out?

Maybe both need a break for one series.....and one can expect both to bounce back harder in the next.

Let's look elsewhere. How did Irfan bowl? Why was he taken off after just 17 overs? Fans complain about te lack of wickets, and even lack of pace, an some go as far as suggesting he be dropped and replaced by RP Singh. Maybe he needs to bend his back a lot more, because he's capable of bowling a lot faster than that JP Yadav pace– and that all-rounder prospect lost his place because of lack of pace. That said, if the man at the other end is bowling fast, it's not too bad.

Then there's the fielding. There seems to be a deficiency in the slips. Maybe VVS is missed here most, but it's shocking to find Dravid dropping so many. Bu then again, how many do you find at slips? Maybe just one or two. Then again, was Sachin fieldign at slips? He may be needed there now, but Dravid needs to rediscover that consistency at that position.

Cricinfo article just stating that since the start of the South Africa tour a year and a bit ago, Hoggard has 77 wickets at 24.53. Surely that puts him up amongst the best pace bowlers in the world at present.
