I enjoyed Beefy-Kapil commentary stint yesterday. It seemed like a typical convo between two old pals meeting after a long time .They went on discussing the old times, their golf swings and generally how their lives have moved on since retirement.

Yes. Wasn't it sweet?

I generally like Kapil's commentry, I wish his English/Hindi was little better. He doesn't utter nonsense stuff like Srikanth, Shastri, Waqar and Srinath etc do. He doesn't get very emotional either(atleast when he is doing commentry).

This must be very frustrating for the English, but what a fightback from the Indian tail! Seriously, does their batting depth NEVER end?

That's another reason Geraint is keeping instead of Prior. Prior can't even catch those. That's horrendous. Harbhajan is angering me immensely!

I can't believe Harbhajan is batting with ease when the Indian top order struggled....they should be ashamed of themselves.

Yes the English bowled very well ....I'm not denying that....BUT still

We used to have Nehra in our team, that's where it'd be all she wrote.

England are bowling crap now. Its so irritating (not from my POV right now mind you :p) when top quality fast bowlers change their tactics when a tailender comes in. Bowl line and length, none of this bouncer crap, it ain't working!

Hell just look at his little cameo at the end of the first test on day 5 when he was given free reign to play his shots, he looked a totally different batsman. But when he comes out at number 4 on day 1 or day 2, he doesn't play like the Sachin of the 90s and I don't think its all physical, a lot of it is mental. He's more himself in ODIs.
Is it the pressure then?

On day 1, he's under pressure.

Last week there was no pressure and the game was basically drawn.

Jono, do you feel Tendulkar should be dropped to make way for Kaif in the Mumbai test ?

No, but I'm guessing you do, which is fair enough. You're entitled to your opinion. :)

But his best knock recently was in a pressure situation.

http://aus.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/2005-06/IND_IN_PAK/SCORECARDS/IND_PAK_ODI3_13FEB2006.html

The ball was moving around all over the place, and they were chasing a big total with the series level at 1-1, and he managed to get through that and play his best ODI knock since 2004 IMO.

But then again maybe you're right, I definitely can't pinpoint it.

Tendulkar will NEVER be dropped from the team, he will quit cricket himself.
Dude, No one wants him to quit cricket, He should just take a break and goto some place where he gets no cricket for few months and then comeback fresh. He is only 32, even if he comes after 6 months break, he will have a fresh start.
