I thought of that when I first heard it too ... but please don't make Srinath sound smart.What-A-Player said:Peter = English
Kirsten = South African
Infact, Srinath got it right
Well, that was a shot.Tom Halsey said:Well, that was a shot.

EDIT: Absolutely loving this. This is where KP really shows his worth.

We've got an exception on our hands.What-A-Player said:South Indians are generally smarter
Three words - GET OVER IT. Every team gets good and bad umpiring decisions. KP's one was bad, but everyone knows that. If you're going to do nothing but complain about how lucky England are (despite the fact they're currently playing far superior cricket) then quite frankly the rest of this board doesn't want you here.What-A-Player said:Well, that was a shot.

Kumble's last over read 4,6,0,4,1,4 and he's only picked up one wicket so far in the match. Notice how many dud overs they bowled? That could have been shared between Irfan and Sreesanth (after dropping Pietersen he deserved to be subbed out for three overs) or even given to a fifth bowler.adharcric said:Our "Spin Duo" isn't getting much done here. Maybe it's time to rethink whether Kumble and Harbhajan are the best options for India. Kumble surely is, but Harbhajan ... he better watch out for Piyush Chawla and Ramesh Powar.
Just whatever they have at the end today. They should approach this as the last 15 overs of an ODI (since India aren't going to bowl their quota, as Boycott says the slow over rates situation is a cheats' charter).Pratyush said:At what lead should England declare? 375 I reckon.

Rant over.
Yeah but who would you have instead of Kaif. Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar, Sehwag, Kumble, Harbhajan are obvious NO-NOs. Sreesanth and Pathan are the strike seamers and they wouldn't do it. Dhoni ... no. That leaves Jaffer. If he could do it, I'm sure he would be doing it right now. Gambhir was very good at short-leg, that's one advantage he has over Jaffer. Short-leg is huge with a spin-centered team like India.Arjun said:Then there's that bizarre idea of having Kaif at short-leg. He's a good fielder, but short-leg requires special skills that he doesn't have. He's dropped more than a few catches and to top that, Cook prodded one between his legs and ot a single.
Big hits for victory.Arjun said:Well, the Indians shouldn't give up yet– if an inexperienced English batting lineup can hang on for so long and frustrate Kumble and Harbhajan India, there's no reason why Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid and five others can't score just as much against a bowling attack that's not full-strength and is far from the Pigeon-Dizzy-Kaspa-Warne quartet.
