Woakes may end the winter test series facing more balls with the bat than he bowled. Just having a quick look at the scorecards difference appears to be under 150 balls now, and he hasn’t even scored that many – averages just 25 but he has been completely innocuous with the ball.

India definitely ahead in the game. We needed a 50 run lead minimum to be competitive, would be surprised if we passed 200 3rd dig.

Just seen Aswin's non-walk  is he high?

How bad was it? Should dock India of a review imo.

Well he has done a decent job today. Not had a good series though and not really bowled that well at all in 2016. Guess if Rashid finishes the series off well he may be under a bit of pressure but given how we have no middle order bats he will probably keep his place anyway.
I was pondering that earlier and came to the same conclusion. Which won 't stop me being grumpy as hell when our lead spinner sends down a load of tripe in the summer, but Rashid's performance today doesn't leave him any room for complaints if he doesn't get a look in for the home tests.

EDIT
And right on cue, Rashid drags another one half way down the wicket. Our Indian members may be surprised to learn that he does actually bowl this stuff for a living.

The only excuse for Ashwin is that he never saw what happened and was unsure where the ball had gone, if that was the case then it is fair enough to stand there and be certain. Looks a bit of a prat though regardless of his excuse.

I think it might have been that, also could be more of a shock that he got out that way. Dunno.

I gather he was asking whether it had hit Jennings' helmet.

As for the match situation, yeah India are ahead. Judging by what the ball's done on the odd occasion when our spinners have had the confidence to bowl it at a decent pace and actually managed to get it in the right areas, Ashwin and Jadeja are going to enjoy themselves in the 3rd innings.

If Kohli had just had a good series instead of this god-like Bradmanesque series, a few of these matches would have been really entertaining.

They have been entertaining, should be blaming your lot for not capitalizing enough on key moments instead of hoping the opposition does badly lol.

Nah. Losing 8 for 70 is the way we play, don't take that away from us.
