Getting Ball on seems to have worked too. Like this from England, a real unit and a young side mostly too with the experienced players to return we have the makings of a useful squad now.

I for one look forward to them losing a series in India/Sri Lanka in early 2019, dropping half the squad, changing the captain and recalling Gary Ballance or something.

Looked some good plans set early from Buttler and the bowlers resulting in a couple of early wickets. These two, Mushfiqur and Mahmadullah, just pulling things round for Bangladesh, Rashid has struggled landing it in the right areas in his last couple of overs, time for a change.

The idiot openly admitted in this interview (Mark Wood: Injured, Relegated, Bound To Bounce Back | All Out Cricket) that he played injured for Durham at the end of the season. Doesn't deserve a central contract really if he's gonna jeopardize his international career like that.
“For me, the most frustrating thing is I was at 60 per cent against Surrey, but I was desperate to play to keep us up and we’ve been relegated anyway. I probably shouldn’t have played. It made it worse. I had an injection after the game, knowing that at the time I thought Durham were safe, but the injection didn’t work.”

If/when he does finally regain fitness he may find himself a long way down the pecking order with Ball looking a find and a fair chance that another young player will do well at the start of next season and be on the radar. His loyalty to Durham may have cost him an international career.
