**Official** England in Bangladesh 2016

Bangladesh seem to have slotted someone who averages 70 with the bat in First Class in at number eight in this game, so perhaps being two down early won't reign them in all that much.
It's bound to reign them in for a while, and indeed has done in the opening 15. So I think this start is going to cap their score to something England will be comfortable chasing.

Getting Ball on seems to have worked too. Like this from England, a real unit and a young side mostly too with the experienced players to return we have the makings of a useful squad now.

Yea I'm skipping this game. India's smashing it everywhere and I've got UFC 204 downloading. Not going to watch the BD lads break my heart.

Just as I type that Rahane gets out. Sigh

Yep.....World Cup is ours to lose for sure <Buuurrrpp........get me another Stella Woman!>
I for one look forward to them losing a series in India/Sri Lanka in early 2019, dropping half the squad, changing the captain and recalling Gary Ballance or something.

If it makes you feel any better, Bangladesh aren't close to winning right now so they'll probably be okay for a bit.

Be like deja vu all over again. Surely we won't make the same mistakes again?

When England win the WC in 2019 I'll expect a formal apology in your podcast for my drunken hyping up of this team!!

International Captain
Looked some good plans set early from Buttler and the bowlers resulting in a couple of early wickets. These two, Mushfiqur and Mahmadullah, just pulling things round for Bangladesh, Rashid has struggled landing it in the right areas in his last couple of overs, time for a change.

The idiot openly admitted in this interview (Mark Wood: Injured, Relegated, Bound To Bounce Back | All Out Cricket) that he played injured for Durham at the end of the season. Doesn't deserve a central contract really if he's gonna jeopardize his international career like that.

“For me, the most frustrating thing is I was at 60 per cent against Surrey, but I was desperate to play to keep us up and we’ve been relegated anyway. I probably shouldn’t have played. It made it worse. I had an injection after the game, knowing that at the time I thought Durham were safe, but the injection didn’t work.”

There really is a lot to like about Jake Ball, really nice control and a smooth repeatable action, and just picked up a really important wicket of Mushfiqur with a surprise short ball! Fantastic bowling.

Jake Ball again. Has a lot to like as an ODI bowler. Not going to wow you with any particular skill but hitting good areas, steepling bounce and those variations are good signs.

Have to say he goes up in my estimation for that sort of attitude, way way up in fact

If/when he does finally regain fitness he may find himself a long way down the pecking order with Ball looking a find and a fair chance that another young player will do well at the start of next season and be on the radar. His loyalty to Durham may have cost him an international career.
