Definitely when you consider what Rashid did with Yorkshire going for the title but he may have harmed his own career doing it as 6 months ago when he was injured you would never have thought Woakes would be a clear pick ahead of him and he now is and who knows what Ball may do over the coming months as well.Have to say he goes up in my estimation for that sort of attitude, way way up in fact
Yeah give me a Wood over a Rashid any day on that front, even from an England perspective.Have to say he goes up in my estimation for that sort of attitude, way way up in fact
There's commitment to your county and then there is foolhardy bravado. This definitely falls into the second for me.Have to say he goes up in my estimation for that sort of attitude, way way up in fact
I can see where you're coming from, but this is about the sort of loyalty, commitment and selflessness you virtually never see in professional sport these daysThere's commitment to your county and then there is foolhardy bravado. This definitely falls into the second for me.
This is a guy who has been constantly injured with ankle problems. Who is payed not by Durham but by the ECB. Has an important winter coming up and yet he decides to play when already injured.
Playing injured hurts the team through ego and selfishness. Total opposite of the values you are mentioning.I can see where you're coming from, but this is about the sort of loyalty, commitment and selflessness you virtually never see in professional sport these days
Yes England really getting a lot of out of Wood right now. From an England perspective this is garbage. I don't see how it's better doing what Wood did as opposed to Rashid. Rashid turned up fit for a tour, Wood put himself out injured for another 6 months.Yeah give me a Wood over a Rashid any day on that front, even from an England perspective.
Would've thought it served to inspire myself - sport is about passion isn't it?Playing injured hurts the team through ego and selfishness. Total opposite of the values you are mentioning.
Yes you'd be over the moon if you were a Durham supporter/player but Wood's priority should be England imo. Maybe it isn't.I can see where you're coming from, but this is about the sort of loyalty, commitment and selflessness you virtually never see in professional sport these days
That is unfathomably stupid. One is bowling well and helping England win matches, the other is injured yet again because he can't behave like a professional and look after his body.Yeah give me a Wood over a Rashid any day on that front, even from an England perspective.
