Burgey

What the last few games of this series has shown, is our 3rd XI with a smattering of first choicers, is better at home than your 3rd choice XI with a smattering of first choicers away.

And that James Brayshaw us a nob of a commentator. If he's trotted out, the match means nothing.

Lol KP. Zero interest, zero care.

Was hoping to see Krejza come on for a bowl with the match evenly poised. Looks like his spell will be pretty irrelevant now, which is a shame.

Johnson's affinity with the WACA is downright bizzare. I mean, he's not even bowling brilliantly atm (as against his spell in the test there, which was genuine good bowling), yet the wickets are flowing anyway.

Never seen the Razor bowl in limited overs, but based on his test MO I'm not convinced it's his metier.
If anything, the fact that he can have so many fielders back in the middle overs actually makes his attacking style more suited to the shorter formats; he's better protected and still takes wickets. His OD and T20 records are a lot better domestically than his First Class record.

Don't know what to make of Johnson, he keeps getting these wickets despite bowling **** and that to a large extent covers up for his lack of penetrativeness as a bowler.

There is not much between them, but still shouldn't Wright be batting ahead of Yardy...?

EDIT: Also... I thought the Aussie think-tank should have figured out by now, that Tait is much better off bowling bulk of his overs with a slightly older ball, he has always struggled to control the new ball so he should bowl 1-2 overs max. with the new ball.

England really not playing it seems. Crowds have stayed okay for these ODI's bar the double up in Syd, good good.
Feel a bit sorry for the Perth crowd; looks a sell out and they're treated to very much a 3rd string Oz team and an England who just don't look interested.

Twice Prior has tried to chop Hastings onto his stumps already.

White's so bored he decides to waste a referral.

If Haddin doesn't appeal I think we can be fairly sure it's not out.

Australia wasting their time with a review. If even Haddin doesn't appeal, then you can be sure it's not out in a million years.

EDIT: Beat me to it.

Not sold so far, tbh.

Tbf... its not as if WACA is the greatest place on earth to bowl spin, but he gives the ball a good rip and also gets decent drift. Would definitely be my choice as our spinner for the worldcup after Hauritz and SOK.
