I am right - he is not a CW Staff Member. I didn't mention anything about being a moderator/administrator ash.

Also, would I be correct if I was to say that since the introduction of a coach, our success rate has increased on the international scene?
The coach hasn't even been in place when we've played a game, so no.

Markus Reveals Hidden Ambition behind new Fitness Programme

Players in the CW squad currently touring the West Indies would have noticed that One Day opening batsman Ian Markus has changed the way he lives. Markus this tour has been a far cry from the tourist on previous tours where he would stay up to all hours begging tour party members to stay out with him and continue living the party life. Not only has Markus given up his partying lifestyle he is also making a change to the way he approaches his fitness. Markus remarks with a smile that "it's all a little bit different now mate, the take away and fast meals are out the door, and I'm actually asking Pratyush to put me through extra paces in fitness training".

So why the sudden change? Many insiders believe that Markus may have finally found love. Someone to appreciate his larger than life character and his larger than average frame. However on closer inspection this, unfortunately for Markus isn't the case. After being the blunt of jokes for so long now, Markus wants to further his career and reach his full potential. "After a while all the talk began to get to me, you know I could take a joke here and there but it was effecting me as a person. I took a long hard look at things and thought that it was time to change, I wanted to go to higher places with my game".

Markus's recently published beep test results are a testiment to his new regime and way of life. But just where does Markus want to be and why has he chosen these drastic changes to his way of life? Upon talking to Markus one quickly finds out that he's a very optimistic character and is willing to sacrifice to explore what else cricket has to offer. "I don't know how far I can go. Perhaps I've reached my peak now. If that's the case then fine there will be no regrets. But perhaps there's more in me. I'd dearly love to fight into the test teams mould. I've been playing great OD cricket of late, but I want the selectors to understand just how much I want a test match cap. If that means sacrificing the good things then I can live with that. For now I'm looking to continue scoring runs at the top of the OD line up and also hold my catches in the field".

Who knows where Markus's new way of life and changed persona will take him. It sure will be interesting to follow, and interesting to see just how long he can stick to his guns.

Sharks net Getty

John Paul Getty III will be sponsoring the Garven Island Sharks this season.

The deal involves private jet flights to and from Sharks games for any Sharks player not involved in their dev league team's game.

Getty is thought to have caught his love of cricket from his father, and is expected to anchor his yacht of the coast of Garven Island for most of the season.

The deal represents an unexpected coup for the Sharks as Getty was thought to be close to a deal to support the Pickford Panthers, led by fellow redhead Neil Pickup.

I thought it was an obvious joke considering that I am not even a first choice member of my province let alone the cricket web XI.
Don't worry. Most of us got it.

Interview with Agarwal Pratyush

Agarwal speaks out about CW and its future

By Johnny Bravo

already a while ago the CBBCC appointed Agarwal Pratyush as their new Head coach.
after the past failure of Richard Dickinson, most people inside wanted a new coach, the CWBCC began a search and came to Agarwal Pratyush, someone with a shinefull career at other coaching roles, the CWBCC was enthusiastic about him immediately.
the new coach began a tight regime, and started a succesfull camp, with beeptests and tough trainig drills.
so now we will be having an interview with him :

Johnny Bravo(JB)Thanks for talking with me mr Agarwal
Pratyush Agarwal(PA): no problem

JB:How are you?

PA: I am doing great.. I am getting player self assessments right now and almost through with the camp..

JB: and the team how are they taking the camp? how is the atmosphere?
PA: The atmosphere has been great, the team has been very much willing. The players are showing a keenness to improve. What more can a coach want ?

JB: I wouldnt know. Some of your players seem to be unwilling to come to the camp how do you see that? can that affect there future selection ?

PA : Apart from Watt and the Robbins issue, there haven't been problems. If the players aren't willing to co-operate with me or resist the idea of a coach itself, I can do nothing about it. Obviously I would love to have every one available for selection. But if they themselves have issues with me or my being there, I cannot focus on it. I can focus on trying to do the best I can and improving the team

JB: Marc Robbins what happend ?
He was averse to the idea of a coach itself. As I said then, he was a crucial member of the team in my opinion, and had a good cricketing brain to to add to the team . what occured was a sad development but couldn't really be helped.

JB:back to the camp, who is really popping out performance wise in this camp , cricketwise but mental and physical wise too.

PA: Performance wise I am particularly happy about Hoy. Mamesh is showing some talent too. I have been happy with the effort generally. I won't criticise my team until absolutely necessary. The media plays the role of judging. Regarding mental strenght, Cloete is a stand out and an example for all to follow. Physical fitness wise there has been a general improvement already from the reading taken early in the camp
The players most fit have been Butler, Mamesh and Markus

JB:do you follow Dev league cricket ?
PA I do but this season I haven't got the chance with the camp. Will follow it keenly once the camp is well and truly over.

JB:what do you think CW's Main Strengths are ODI or tests?

PA: Right now it is the ODIs definitely. We have some way to go before we become a test team to reckon with but its not impossible."

JB: the world cup is not far off, what do you reckon do we have a chance to do better then last time round

PA: We need to improve the 5th bowler quota of overs which is crucial. Apart from that, the core strength is there and we definitely have the chance to improve and perform better as a team. If we weren't good enough, we wouldn't be reaching the finals in the first place.

JB: Future of CW cricket?

PA: The future is good. We are only into our 10th season and we are already reaching finals in ODIs. There is a good blend of youth and experience. There is incredible enthusiasm (at least in the international team) and the structure of the domestic cricket is very good. I am happy to be a part of the scheme of things at this juncture of point.

JB: Thank you for this interview, and good luck on tour

Good to see the media has finally gotten ahold of Mr. Agarwal. I've heard Kwase's been meaning to for a while, but he's been too busy investing in tissues.

Stedman suggests a change in careers
by Gary Gangrene

Specialist CW Red batsman, James Stedman was seen in a local cricket store trying on wicketkeeping gloves. On sight of this reporter, the controversial opener quickly darted into a cubicle pretending he was trying on pants.

When asked about the purchase, store owner Max Walker had this to say, "at first it seemed strange but we got talking". "Apparently he's less than impressed with the standard of wicketkeeping in the Reds one-day team at the moment". Stedman has been said to be taking lessons from Aaron Gilchurch in his spare time and has been listed behind the stumps for the Stedingham Jets on Sunday.

This reporter instantly went to investigate, but on entering the cubicle found no trace of the Jets keeper.

First Megan wants my keeping spot at the Jets, now James does as well. :@ Oh well hopefully we can help the Jets win on the 5th, regardless who is keeping cus they really need some help.

Also i don't think Jamee did that bad with the gloves, it looked like he had a good game with the gloves in the 1st game.
