*Official* CW XI in South Africa

Cloete

International Captain
Disappointing loss. Should have probably won that, the batting was poor. Really disappointed with myself, I got 2 35's and if I had gone on with it one innings we could have won it. Great work by the bowlers there and there's certainly a lot of positves. A very close, hard fought game that we could easily have won. Let's make sure we win the next one!

Disapointing to lose that game. However, there are a lot of positives to take out of it. Great debut from Watt. Taking his opportunity with both hands.

Can only echo others' sentiments. It hurts to go over old ground again - but we know we can get on top of them with the ball - we need the top order to do something with their starts.

Watched the telecast and tbh, despite scoring 44 and 29, Dauth just didn't look good to me. Laboured and poked nervously at balls outside the offstump. Real confidence player that one.

Durban takes its cue
Cricket Web XI vs South Africa - 2nd Test

Following on from a thrilling first Test and a nailbiting finish, the 2nd Test match between the Cricket Web XI and South Africa went right down to the wire. South Africa included Nicky Boje at the expense of Dale Steyn, while the CW XI went in unchanged. Both teams set themselves up for huge totals in the first innings, but the bowlers fought well on a relatively flat surface to limit the runscoring.

The game came down to the quality of second innings batting, where the Cricket Web XI looked to approach a deficit of 67 on a pitch that was offering more and more for the spinners.

Pickup underbowled in the first innings for mine.

Admirable bowling by Wilson. :)

Aww man. Another close game. Still 3 tests left and I'm confident we can turn it round for an exciting series win.

Some great performances in there. Mork and Cloete with centuries, Pickup with 8 wickets and a few good signs from the rest of the batsmen.

Another disappointing loss, but some quality performances there and we are starting to play pretty well as a team. Two brilliant 100s by Andy and Hakon, and some good knocks by Thamba, Goff, Wilson and Dauth, one of those guys probably should have gone on though.

Pickup had a brilliant game with the ball, can't believe a South African pitch turned, but he made the most of it. Some very good bowling from Thomas and Wilson in the 1st innings. 2nd innings we probably need some more support from the quicks.

Overall im happy with the performances so far, we probably could, maybe should have been 2-0 infront or atleast 1-1. But the performances being put out by the players has been very good, we just need the killer punch.
