Liking the look of the squad, should be able to put in a strong performance, really hoping to perform to my potential, bring back the form I had in Sri Lanka. I can definitely see a series win here, it's time we stepped up to the next level and begin our push to be number 1 test team in the world. We've proved that we can perform in the ODI arena, so now we can take that to the Test arena. We've got the right mix of youth and experience, time to use it well.

Extremelt pleased at seeing Watt get his call to the squad, certainly an exciting bowler and I think he can really make it in the test arena, congrats mate. Also congrats to Simon, good to see the old guys still have it, and the Chosen One to make his breakthrough one feels, congrats guys.

Kearsley under the pump here, surely his last test matches if he fails again.

Think thats a bit rough. My last series was quite good. Fair enough if i fail throughout 2 or 3 tests thern id expect to be dropped, and prob never recalled, but would be very dissapointed if i only recieved once chance after saving a couple of games in last series.

Great to see Simon back in the squad, someone with that much experience and tally of runs deserves it. And to Dave well done mate. Also nice to see Wilson in the squad, hopefully he has turned the corner and can make an impact if he gets the chance.

Congrats to all that made the squad especially Dave, well deserved IMO, he has to have the record for most FC wickets without a Test Cap. Pretty big series for the team as whole, really a chance to show that we can push the best sides in the world over five tests. A big series for me personally, as a couple bad scores and Simon could be straight back in the Test side. But its always good to have competition for spots, makes you a better player.

Congrats to Simon and Watts both deserving inclusions, very pleased for Fitzy as he had an unbelieveable season. Im suprised but very happy about my own callup to the squad even if i dont actually get to play a match.

By quite good you mean averaged 33, with 1 ton & 1 50 in 8 innings.

Without the ton, of 120, you scored 147 runs from 7 innings at an average of 21 with just one 50. Not sure how that is quite good, by any means.

Atleast you did better than Mork.

Nah, if you take away Demeza's best score his average is still 0. It's only a problem for the rest of us.

Well, I disagree. Not the point, though.

Can I then say "up until the your 2nd last innings you averaged just over 20 ... pretty piss poor.", instead then?



The fact is, someone in the top 6 of a test team should make more than two scores over 50 from 8 innings, .... and if they don't I can't see how it was a good series.
Just backing up my initial harsh call that, in my overly wanted opinion, Kearsley would surely be on his last chance.

I'm not having a go at the guy personally, he is a good chap, but as a viewer of the CW test team, I don't think he has ever really cemented a spot and would be under consideration of the arse. If I didn't say it, who would?

Can't complain about Wilson being picked ahead of me as the second all-rounder, as he out-performed me with the bat this season and also took his wickets at a very good clip. The bowling attack has a fairly settled look about it, so it is encouraging to know that I am still in the selectors thoughts should a vacancy arise.
