Indeed, my personally favoured position is opening, even if I don't do it well all of the time. I can bat anywhere from 1-6 and don't mind going lower if I have to... although I'd be surprised by it!

I do believe that Mr Markus has opened with success at the top of the order, and has also partnered Mr Malone on occasion.

Towns In Freak Squash Accident

Daniel Towns will be out of cricket action for the next 2 games due to a broken arm sustained whilst playing squash. During a friendly contest with fellow Webhead Neil Pickup, Towns tripped on his untied laces and found his right arm bracing a sudden fall.

The resulting fracture is said to be hairline, but the doctor has not yet confirmed where exactly it is located. The Selection Panel has no plans to call up injury cover for Towns as of yet.
