Wednesday 26 April

Exeter CC Midweek (may include Richard "first chance" Dickinson) vs Exeter University IV (skippered by yours truly) - County Ground, Prince of Wales Road, Exeter.

Official Photographer: Rich "Langeveldt" Hingston.

All welcome!
Yeah good call, it would be nice to see some people and take some good shots, lets just hope for nice weather!

And Richard, I get called Rich because otherwise it would get confusing, plus I don't like being called Richard so much...

Some very personal moments from yesterdays meetup

Neil's contorted face bares testament to the speed at which he was running, perhaps the only shame was that the ball had already travelled over the boundary line

I was there, one to tell the grandkids
Does this make the guy on the left the worst player ever?

Neil salutes the crowd on competion of his 3*

Spot the ball competition

But one feels Richard's new approach to the game will only lead to frustration

Richard>Makhaya Ntini.

Nice to put a face to people, always imagined Richard to be a middle aged gimp...

Decent action on the ball from Neil (assuming its an offspinner).

Good seam position with what looks like some overspin included to make life hard for the batsman.

Wilf Rhodes said that spinners must get the ball above the eyeline of the batsman in order to force them to move their head and eyes and make judgement more difficult.

Congrats to Neil for upholding the fine traditional values of English spin bowling :)

Good photos BTW

Leggie. And the ball remains above the eyeline of the batsman for quite a distance.

Congrats to Neil for upholding the fine traditional values of English spin bowling :)
Neil's ball is above the eyeline for the average England player two hours into flight to Australia for the 2006/7 Ashes.

;)
