Interesting that Vauban has been bought by Australian owners. Eliminating the need to travel and acclimatise might be the key to a better performance in the Cup next year.

I have a feeling the issue might be that he doesn't stay 2m, his best flat runs are generally at 1m 6f. It also means Mullins lose a decent hurdler for the Winter, not that he's short of them. I could see him doing well in 12 furlong graded races in Aus.

Jumps season kicks off properly tomorrow here with the first big Cheltenham weekend.....Winter has arrived!!
