Well, that was a turnaround. Green Moon was dreadful in the Cox Plate - wouldn't have backed him in the Cup in a million years on that effort. But he was a completely different horse today.

I am more interested in the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter than flat racing. Not many runners but plenty of quality in Menorah, Cue Card and Edgardo Sol. Highlight of the day though should be Hinterland making his chase debut in the race after, could be an early look at the horse to win the Arkle in March.

I'm not a big horsey man, but how much of a sham penalty is that for oliver, have a year off buddy, but here we will allow you 2 months of training only prior to the big race next year. are they looking after him or what

Yeah, pretty unimpressed with the handling of the whole thing. Should have been stood down immediately IMO, not conveniently just after the last day of the Cup carnival.

Kudos to him for holding his hands up at least. I always find the denials very tiresome.

Haven't said what said drug was but Beeb report notes he copped a police caution for possession of the old Bolivian marching powder in 1993, so...

I haven't seen it written anywhere that says he was banned for coke, just that he's been banned because he was found guilty of a testing positive to a 'non performance-enhancing banned substance'.

Actually now that I'm reading an article on it it says:

Although there has been much speculation as to the substance that he tested positive for it is unlikely, unless Dettori reveals, it will ever be known as France Galop policy is not to divulge such details.
