Unbelievable relegation in the Japan Cup.
YouTube - 2010 JAPAN CUP (ENG. CALLER)

The interference was relatively minor (an exaggerated reaction by the jockey on the second horse, IMO), and there's no ****ing way that second horse was ever going to beat the winner, who for mine was clearly the best. Ridiculous.

This horse is just amazing. At the end of last season, IMO, he was probably about the third best 2yo in the country. But this season he has just been phenomenal, and, scarily, he seems to be getting better with each start. He's wonderful to watch.

He's aiming to become the first horse since 1990 to win the NZ 2000 Guineas-Derby double. I hope he can do it.

Jimmy Choux v King's Rose in the NZ Derby is on, by the look of it. King's Rose's TAB odds have plummeted from $18 to $5.

This is going to be ****ing amazing. These two horses have made all their opponents in the last couple of months look like they're in slow motion. They've each won no fewer than five stakes races this season, and they won the 2000 Guineas and 1000 Guineas respectively.

13 days to go. Can't ****ing wait.

One of the driest summers in years, and then the rain arrives just in time to make it yet another ****ing wet Derby. Unbelievable.

I hope Jimmy can win it anyway. Seems to handle wet ground.

You're lucky I didn't see that post before I left for the track this morning. Only picked one winner all day, and he was the $2.30 favourite.

But Jimmy's an amazing animal, isn't he? 1400m or 2400m, a rock-hard track or a swamp, it doesn't matter. He doesn't let any other horse get near him. I thought he was gone about 200m from home, but he found another kick from somewhere. Monstrous win.

So is this Black Caviar a freak of nature or something?

Purely based on what others said, I bet a bit on her. She kicked some butt.

Yeah, I think she could be. Was just outside the track record and she was eased down to the line. First time in Aussie history that a horse has gone 10 for 10 from the start of their career.

Yep, another very special performance, and under 58kgs. Clearly the best sprinter in the world at the moment, IMO. And she may turn out to be one of the best ever.

Cheltenham tomorrow, can't wait.

Shame Binocular is out but all the old favourites return again to do battle and we have 5 horses looking for their third victories in their respective races. Quevega (Mares Hurdle) Master Minded (Queen Mother) Big Bucks (World Hurdle) Kauto Star (Gold Cup) and Garde Champetre (Cross Country Chase). Would be great if a few can do it again.

Nap of the week for me is Poquelin in the Ryanair Chase on Wednesday.

E/W shot of the week Aikman 2.05 Wednesday, is around 33-1.

The greatest show on turf is upon us.

I'm not a jumps fan, but I'm giving Cheltenham a chance to convert me. The Supreme Novices' Hurdle was an exciting start, for sure.

Being a bit cautious with my betting - just putting small place bets on non-favourites whose form I like the look of. Had Spirit Son in the first, and I'm on Finian's Rainbow here.

Well i got off to a flyer with Al Ferof but i knew today was such a tough punting day so to have Ghizao 5th and Menorah 5th is no surprise. I left the 3m handicap chase alone, looked way too difficult a punting prospect.

I hope Garde Champetre and Quevega both win, leaving both races alone. Done Definity in the last. Keeping powder dry for later in the week, up on the day thanks to Ruby winning the opener anyway.

Ruby is god.

Australia, I'd like you to meet Jimmy Choux.

If he's on his game tomorrow, he'll beat that field without leaving second gear, IMO.

What's your opinion of Black Caviar?

I'm watching the Dubai World Cup atm and they're calling her the world's best horse

What's more, there is no-one from the southern hemisphere on the commentary team and "they" claim her connections were offered an absolute fortune to be here tonight
