Playing for the CW XI has never felt quite the same as it did during those dying minutes at the Oval. The silence as I marked out my run, the intensity of the gasps as that fourth ball ripped past Fidel's outside edge... Simon bloody Taufel not giving that LBW from the next delivery, and the final ball dropping agonisingly over Cloete's hands.

Cricket has been the winner today - viewing figures back home must have been astronomical, and there will be a lot of very, very tired schoolchildren tomorrow morning - or is it this morning now in CW Land? Either way, we've done everybody proud. Now let's win the series.

Devestated. Pure and simple.

After a magnificent 8* off 160 in our first dig, a solid first innings with the ball, and a reasonable night-watchman performance, I failed to make an impact when it counted.. Gutted..

Incredible effort, guys. Great bowling all round, some top notch batting from Kearsley, Cloete and Hakon.

Great game, great game.

Great game.

Well done to everyone, particularly Kears, Dave, Neil, Hakon and Bryce.

With that last catch, the commentary doesn't have it down as a drop by me. Are sort of just supposing it happened? I thought I had dropped it for a second there and let everyone down.

Håkon got out to Bradshaw twice. He really needs to learn how to face left arm seamers.

No one said you dropped it. It went over your head.

:-O What've you done to Håkon?!?! Where's his trademark forward defence gone?
England did it to him. Yorkshire taught him to slog and he did it to good effect when the team needed him.

Were you at the Queen's Park Oval on that fateful day?
On the boundary kicking an advertising sign over

Good effort from the team...just unlucky to fall one wicket short. We'll just have to get them next time :@

Hard luck boys, that was the closest of matches. Let's keep building towards winning the second test.

What a match! Great bowling by Neil. Happy to have contributed and added some much needed runs to the 1st dig. Well played everyone.

Fantastic effort guys, Kearsley made runs in the frirst inning sbefore Hoy, Kennett and pickup dug in to face 437 balls between them for 79 crucial runs. All the bowlers then bowled well - Kennett and Pickup again showing the way before some beutiful attacking batting from Cloete and Cunningham :) beutiful bowling from Pickup again got so so close to the win. Certainly sets the series up nicely.

Great Effort team... Very unfortunate not to get the win but, it was a super performance and definatley a test to remember...

Im interested to know what Neils highlight would've been had he got the Hat-trick...

36 runs vs a Hat-Trick??

Almost in the allrounder class now :p

Davids 1st innings was super when we were in trouble, whilst Hak and Cloete were superb in the 2nd...
