*Official* Cricket Web XI in the West Indies

Pratters

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
Now that we have slept over the loss, maybe we can focus on the positives and improve small aspects.

Some positives -

Fight back despite initial wickets
The debut of Hoy
Cunningham, Kearsely making useful contributions
Hoy, Pickup and Kennett showing great determination
All bowlers performing well

Some negatives -

Dropped catches

I dont find much else. It was a great team effort with every one gelling together. Keep up the momentum and take out what you can from this effort guys!

We didn't lose the victory, we just weren't allowed to claim it.

We won it, however ITC doeesn't know it.

 That is incredible.

Great stuff by so many players. Kears` 90 was terrific. Hoy scores 35 on debut. Kennett makes 8 off 160!! Pickup scores 36! Kennett takes four, Hoy two and Pickup three, with Bryce keeping it tight. Cloete and Hakon gun it, before Bryce smacks 72. And then Hoy boys well and Pickup produces some magic.

No wonder it feels like a loss.

Great game that, hopefully we can get over the line in the next one. BTW was i the 37th or 38th player to represent CW?

Hoy comes before Mamesh, hence 38th.

Tour schedule advanced

As suspected would occure, the WICB has removed the OD fixture scheduled to bridge the first and second Test of the current Cricket Web XI tour of the West Indies. The removal of the fixture means that the second Test match and subsequent ODI matches have been shifted forward.

The move is unprecedented at such a late stage of a series.

Dillon back for Kensington Test

Fast bowler Mervyn Dillon has been recalled to the West Indies Test team for the second and final Test against the Cricket Web XI, to be played at the Kensington Oval tomorrow. Dillon replaces Daren Powell in the side which fought for a tight draw in Trinidad last week.

News from the camp of the tourists is that Brendon Goff will lead an unchanged squad onto the field for the crucial encounter.

The first Test ended in a nailbiting finish, as the West Indies hung on for a draw with just 1 wicket in hand.

West Indies 2nd Test squad: S Chanderpaul (C), RR Sarwan (vc), D Ramdin (wk), DJJ Bravo, CH Gayle, DS Smith, BC Lara, M Dillon, FH Edwards, RN Lewis, IDR Bradshaw. 12th Man: WW Hinds

Cricket Web 2nd Test squad: BJ Goff (C), NS Pickup (vc), H Moerk (wk), T Mamesh, DA Kearsley, CR Butler, NS Hoy, KS Wright, DM Kennett, AP Cloete, BC Cunningham. 12th Man: TC Halsey

No chance here, I'm afraid. Around from 1315-1445, that's it.
That time slot is more favourable to my health, but I'm not sure how favourable it is to the Aussies/Kiwis.
