The bowling wasn't poor actually except the 5th bowler role. The 5 overs each proved costly.

The batsmen have played crap shots to get out far too often. We have had the same in the camp, tests (after which we have shown the balls to fight back) - but the question - why should be collapse when the talent is there and there isn't much in the pitch.

When Rose can smash an attack for 30*, a Pickup can show dedication with the bat, I don't understand what is wrong except seriousness/lack of disciplince.

Very poor guys.

If any thing, you should be more determined to put up a performance in the one day series. The way we have performed in this tour game is not the way to go about it.
I thoguht i did okay 8-) not so good in this last match though.

Go webbers.

Hmm... eight appeals for LBW turned down off my bowling. Should`ve changed ends. :D

Solid win against a talented side, was great to bowl alongside Rose to make sure they didn`t get off to a good start. Hopefully I`m getting a bit of a rep as a death bowler, I pride myself on it.

Our batting was good with many batsmen making starts. And then our bowling was brilliantly tight and restrictive.

ODI signs looking good.

Must say I'm quite pleased with how Mr Rose is coming along. In a new look bowling lineup, he's drawing on his previous international experience and will have to play a key role in the ODI's, and along with Liam, help guide the young blokes through their introduction to ODI cricket.

Heres expecting big things from the team for the ODI's

Best of luck lads.

Haha, cheers Davo.

And yeah, Rose has had an excellent tour so far, really looked the goods. :)

Kelly and Dillon excluded from 1st ODI squad

Trinbagonians Richard Kelly and Mervyn Dillon have been excluded from the West Indies squad to play the Cricket Web XI in the first of three One Day Internationals, at Sabina Park.

There is speculation that the West Indies will opt for more batting strength and leave Rawl Lewis out of the final 11. There is no news on the team for the Cricket Web XI.

West Indies Squad:
S Chanderpaul (C), RR Sarwan (vc), D Ramdin (wk), WW Hinds, CH Gayle, RS Morton, MN Samuels, DR Smith, FH Edwards, IDR Bradshaw, RN Lewis, DJJ Bravo.

Must say I am not quite pleased with the top order batting still. How many would we really get if Cunningham, Rose didn't show character?

More pleased again with the bowling. Must say Halsey and Rose have been good. If Halsey shows improvement, we can be a force in the subcontinent, spinning tracks with two quality spinners. Time will be the judge of that.

the top order isn't the problem.. at least not in my opinion. Both games we've had somewhat solid foundations after the first 2 have got out... Against the PresXI we were 2/66 (hardly woeful for a OD game) and against the Jamaicans we were 2/84 (once again quite solid).

Very disappointed not to make the 12 for the 1st ODI after putting up an adequate showing in my only one-day opportunity on the tour. I look foward to another chance in the one-day game to show what I can bring to the team. In the meantime I look forward to the boys playing well in the first ODI.

Woah! 3 or possibly 4 new faces playing of in the one match is huge. Good luck to you all. I think ill need some luck to, the way my OD batting has slid over the past year.

Go CWXI.

Awesome. Couldn`t be more thrilled to make the team. Can`t wait. I hope I can help the Webheads to a series win, would be the experience of a lifetime. Potentially 5/11 Blues in the team, but even better is playing alongside experienced International Players, a chance I won`t often get. :)
