Well... Being fair it followed on a little quicker than what he was expecting... ?
He did seem to make it look like it scooted on him but he still missed it by miles. Poor bloke. Hopefully he will be back when the pressure is off and we've forgotten about him.

I feel that will hurt Lancashire just six runs short... Oops.

Morne is killing it. Averages sub 15, only bowler in Division One with a S/R under 30, and despite missing a number of games early season he is only 8 wickets behind Tom Bailey, the leading wicket taker, with 5 games left to play.

He's been a very smart signing, not least because the obvious need was to replace Sangakara. Instead, they've backed their existing guys (maybe plus Finch tbf) and brought in a world class performer who wouldn't be needed for international duties. Basically he's turned Surrey from a solid mid-table team to where we see them now.

Another couple of transfers confirmed in the last 24 hours

Matt Pillans from Surrey to Yorkshire. Eventhough Brooks looks to be going to Somerset would they even need to sign Raine and or Gleeson still.

Ben Slater leaves Derbyshire for Notts. Looks an ok signing. Room for more growth but is 27. But at the end of the day need more and better batting depth than Nash/B.Root with Mullaney, Patel & Wessels not exactly getting any younger.

Still got Vilas to come. Lancashire's to lose.

Davies though needs to rotate strike and nearly gave it away there.

And it wasn't as if Sussex were perfect here as they began by bowling a load of dross, but yes, Durham were poor. Looking on Durham's impressive Twenty20 run I suspect they peaked a bit too soon. The arsehole fell out in that final drubbing by Lanky at home.

Middlesex become the second team to win after following on this year. Interesting.
Lancashire have never done it apparently in their entire history.

It happens more often you think in the championship - once or twice per season maybe. Much rarer in tests: only thrice (Some Victorian Ashes test, ''Botham's Ashes'' and Eden Gardens '01).

Final Blast T20 QF between Somerset & Notts postponed till tomorrow.

The winner joins Lancashire, Sussex and Worcestershire for finals day.

I think I'll route for the southern fairy teams in this draw as I don't mind any of them: Somerset never win anything and Worcs have never even reached a finals day. Don't mind Sussex by the Sea either.

For some reason Notts get on my ****. Colossal appealers (it is no coincidence they have Broad on their books).
