On the deal Rich2001 said that he was lead into a guilt trip by Laxman who was unhappy at being traded away last season before he even got to play for the club :saint:

No but really, Laxman improves the batting that has been weakened by the lost of some high profile players and Laxman fits the bill required for the aims and objectives for next season, along with adding some experiance into the young top order.

Speaking on Kent's huge transfer list this season, Rich2001 said that massive changes were never actually planned and it was just the case of two big deals at the start that have pushed the overall number up - In fact Kent have only been involded in about 4 deals.

Asked on the situation of releasing players Rich2001 didn't give too much away other than at present there would probley be about 4 "curent" players retianed but the actually figure might change.
