Star batsman E. Howarth (Auck) traded to Karnataka.

E. Howarth, T. McIntosh, S. Jones, H. Kutalunga to Karnataka.

K. Godwin, B. Rowland, G. Rowell and M Walker to Auckland.
Comfirmed.

Karnataka welcome E howarth to their squad. The news of first S Maxwell and then E Howarth coming in has made the fans very happy. All r singing praise of manager Aditya without whom it would have been difficult to get 2 star batsman.

This trade will be put on hold until i can get some info from managers, IMO thi trade looks a bit unfair, but i will await info from both managers before i make a decision

The original trade I offered was Wagg+Williams 4 Godwin+Rowland.
If the auckland manager chose to accept this 1 its not my fault.

Blewy, the trade is unfair on Auckland's part or Mumbai's part?
Auckland's Liam

S.Williams (bat 46/46) a 32 year old with no experiance, what 20 odd games and a pretty shocking season to be fair in both forms, who will nearly certianly retire next season in return for

K.Goodwin Batting avg of 33/45 and S/R of 33/47 - Who's young but with about the same amount of games as Williams has at 10-15 years under, and his bowling is on of the better ones around on top of a very decent batting avg, that almost is as good as Williams alone.

Current Avg's

S.Williams - 36/31

K.Goodwin - Has only played one game in the OD game (current round) So will hardly change from his 33/33 in the OD side. In the FD game his avg almost 40 and his season S/R is 45 so is better than his overall S/R of 47.

My thinking is that I have a very young team and needed some experience as well as Godwin not being an amazing bowler economy-wise.

However, I accept the decision to over-rule the trade gladly as perhaps I was a bit too hasty. I await confirmation that Godwin has been untraded.

Liam in the end it's your choice (I think ;) )

So now you have seen our views and had time to look at it again, if you still want the deal then that's fine, we are just hear to advise and give our opinions, However I feel you missed the point on the experiance point it's not the age it's the games played, and Williams and Goodwin have played basically the same amount of games so both are experianced as each other.

So hows the thinking on our trade :saint: :D

I realized that Godwin, although young had alot of experience, but I needed (and still need) an opener who would score well in both FC and OD and Williams still averages over 40 in both forms at the end of the season. As previously stated, Godwin's bowling is a bit over-rated and his OD batting is but mediocre.

That said, I have decided to withdraw from the trade on the advice of both Blewy Rich_2001, both of whom I have moderate ;) respect for.

Re: Your trade, I attempted to email you with my response yesterday evening, but my main email server is down, so I will come on MSN now.

Old Hero Comes to Province

In a shock decision the Province board are proud to announce the following trade

R Irani (WP)

4

G McGrath (NSW)

This is truly a momentus occasion for the club, to bring in one of the world's most respected fast bowlers, let alone at the old age of 35 is a great move. His bowling will only strengthen our current line up set to move forward in leaps and bounds next year
